OK so my Fi and I moved to Vegas 2 years ago from San Diego because of our jobs with the hopes of one day moving back. Since we have been in Vegas we have been able to buy a house, save some money and get engaged and actully have a wedding. In SD it would have been possible but very difficult with out jobs and cost of living. So needless to say life here has been good but not SD good.

So this job opened up that I would love to have in San Diego but I have been scared to apply for it. I had completed almost all of the application online but was not finisihing it for some reason.

So yesterday I got really pissed off at my work because of my schedule next year and I finished the application. I am a high school teacher and I am teaching 4 different classes. That means four lesson plans every day. I love my job but this would just be a nightmare. It is my second year teaching I am just figuring out how to write lesson plans.

So first thing this morning I recieved an email and they want to interview me.

Exactly what I was scard of.

We are getting married in Feb and need to save every penny. How can I move now?

I feel as if this is my dream job and my FI still has work here. Our life wasn't that great there because we were always working but now we would have different jobs.

A long distance relationship might also have to come out of this for a while until Chris could find a job in SD.

I also have to study for this stupid test that I have on Friday yet I can't focus on Calculus right now to save my life. If I don't pass this test I wont even be able to consider this job.

Sorry I am just venting and needed to get it all out. smile41.gif

congrats on getting the interview! but keep in mind that that's all it is...an interview! it's not a job offer (yet), it's just a possibility. i'd focus on the test and getting that done and overwith. after the test, talk to your fi about the possibilities - not the "what would happens", but the "would you consider its".

i know it's easier said than done, but focus on one step at a time. it'll fall into place.

I agree with Lauren as well...baby steps. No need to stress out about a job you don't even have yet. So for right now, just focus on having a fantastic interview and getting the job offered to you....then you and your FI can discuss all options and weigh out pros and cons. And I do believe everything happens for a reason, so I'm sure it will all work out for you in the end :) And good luck in the interview!!

Great news!! i'm glad you decided to go ahead with the interview!! even if you decided you didn't want to move...yet...sometimes it's just really good practice to interview. i think interviewing for a job is one of the hardest things to do, lol!!

i'll keep my fingers crossed for ya!
