Amy that smily was a smack in the face! I tell people that all the time JOKING of course, like my BF's, "I love you so much I'm gonna smack you in the face" is a line I say to my friend in NY. Ok, I'm in way too good a mood to work today :)

BTW I am dying at everyone's posts today regarding "forum friends". I was typing away last night and my husband was like "what are you doing?"... I said "um, nothing" and he laughs "talking to your little online friends again aren't you?".... Haha Whatever, you guys ROCK!!!

I don't but I know that both Doremixx & Mannia are great. I used Mannia and even talked him down on his price. They did a great job, MC'd the whole thing, had all my songs, took my suggestions etc. Brought and set up lights and everything.



Same here, DH was on the computer playing games and I'm chatting with you girls! He has never thought it was weird either since he plays games online and talks to people he's never met before too!

Regarding the DJ - I had whoever the hotel gave me and they were AWESOME. They had a DJ that did not speak English and an MC that did. If the MC is important to you, i would recommend using a family member or friend b/c they weren't totally clued in. Not their fault - its just that I never got to meet the MC or DJ until I got introduced, so I could not tell him what I wanted him to do it or how. Not a big deal but I wanted my name to be said and not just Mr & Mrs - but thats how they introduced us. In regards to the music, lights, bubble machine and smoke machine, everything was great.

How much did you guys pay for your DJ? I need to know if I should try to talk mine down. I booked him for 4 hours. I MAY have talked the florist down...we will see! I hope so. I have quadrupled the ole budget...yikes!!! Broke as a joke!

I am curious too. I was planning on doing the old IPOD and one of my guests is a DJ and offered to keep an eye on the music and do a little lite MCing. Can you just rent the equiptment?

I know at Le Blanc, you can rent the speakers, sound system, etc for $200. I am sure AS has a similar policy...

I agree, someone asked where my wedding would be this month and the group wants to go do my vow renewal next year somehwere.

I think I paid $800 and something like $825

Girl.... oh man, me too! I LAUGH at the cost I THOUGHT I could try and keep it at. Oh man...

You can rent equipment, iPod hookup, speakers and mic for $250
