LOL... Glad I'm not alone on this one!

Hello, anyone out therehuh.gif

A long time ago I remember us talking about websites and vendors that will create actual albums out of wedding photos. Does anyone remember this conversation or could give a good recommendation on where to go/who to use?

We want to make real albums, as the photos are part of the page not glued onto the page, or stuck into a slot or "frame" on the page. Any ideashuh.gif??

Also, we got our "love box" up and running! I went to Hobby Lobby and bought a decorative box and craft paper that I thought was cute and placed it on the mantel. It's a pretty big box as I wanted it to last and fill up over the next 50 years. So far so good!

Tracy, are you alive? How did your surgery go!?!?!??

Go you on your love box!!

I remember the conversation. I used Blurb to make a book a while back. I paid extra (not much though) for the premium pages and was really impressed with the quality. My book is about 160 pages and I paid ~$70. I'll probably use Blurb to make a book from our wedding, honeymoon, AHR.

We all seem to have a different definition of what qualifies as a "real album." To me, Blurb makes books and not albums because the pictures are digital and are part of the page. An album to me is having actual pictures print mounted or flush mounted onto the page instead of digital pictures. My wedding package came with a coffee table book, and though it's very different from a Blurb book, to me it's still just a book because of the digital pictures.

I'm with ya, though, on not wanting albums stuck into slots or tabs on the page!

My AHR is this Saturday and I can't wait! Both for the fun and for all this to be OVER! Tomorrow is my big Sam's Club trip and I'm spending Thursday and Friday cooking for it. I just have to keep telling myself, "I think I can. I think I can!"

Hi guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm soooo sorry for the delay in reply!!!! I missed out on a lot it looks like. Been a hectic week with the house inspection, bank appointments and recovery. Now I'm currently trying to get rid of our apartment we just renewed our lease on. Soo much work.. still have to find boxes (did you know they actually charge you now!!!! no more grocery stores or anything like that)

The box sounds amazing!!!!!!!!! good for you for not just saying it and never getting it done, you did it!! (I do that too often lol) I am sure it'll come in handy (not just for arguments, but for fun/love as well!!!)

The album book I'm doing the same thing. Wal-mart in my opinion has the best prices. I've done research on line (for me since I'm in canada) the main cost was shipping. Def check out wal-mart, they have all sorts of different covers (hard, soft, colours)

Sooooo my surgery went super well (just the minor hiccup of ending back in the hospital hours after they released me. I had a bad reaction to the anastasia) but I went back, they gave me morphine which stabilizes me, and sent me back home later on that afternoon (the day after my surgery)

I'm not sure how many of you are aware of endometriosis, but you can be diagnosed unless they do this surgery (the surgery is actually explore, if you get a good doct.. they will burn/cut away the cell if they see them right away, as suppose to some doc who want to go back in later the burn them away) I had a good doctor who burned them as he saw them. I went into this surgery not exactly knowing if I had it or not (I just knew I did tho) In fact I have a serve case of endo, so bad the cells pushed my ovary to the wall of my intestines (hence the reason we didn't get pregnant on our honeymoon, yup we tried)

So he was able to clear all the cells (I'm currently endo free) he was also able to push the ovary back to normal. His very confident that I should have at least a few pain free periods (the more menstrual cycles the more they come back) and I should have 0 problems conceiving now (not that we want to try right now, with the whole house....in a perfect world we'll still trying again next year) however with waiting another year I may have to go back to do the surgery to clean all the cells that grew over the past year.

I was scared to go in the surgery basically for the recovery.. I hate just sitting around I need to move. It was nothing like I thought it'd be... I was back on my feet the very next day. So I wold have no problems doing the surgery again if I needed to.

The only annoying part is the stitches that fall out on their own... WHEN!!!!? the are very itchy now (better then hurting like before though)

Thank you all so much for being so caring, and asking how it went. I appreciate it soo much!!!!

Now maybe I can move on for awhile, get on with my life and enjoy!!! even maybe get a job!!!

What is everyone else been up to? How is everything Nat with the hubby living in your space? Hope it's all going well.

Tracy - you should check out Kodak Gallery or Costco for albums/books as well. When I was trying to find a place to print my Thank You cards I had to do a lot of searching around! LOL! Otherwise try Blacks too as they've been having some good sales lately.

I'm glad to hear that your surgery went relatively well, considering the issues with the anaesthetic. My grandpa and I are the same way so he always wound up staying in the hospital longer and I get really, really sick from it. I know you mentioned waiting to try having kids again, but do you think you might wait a few months to see if things are still going well and maybe try then to avoid having another surgery?? Oh yah and you can probably just ask your family doctor about how long the stitches will take to dissolve but in the meantime you might just be able to put some polysporin on it to relieve the itching.

Taylor - have fun at your AHR this weekend!! I know part of you just wants it over with but I hope you can put that aside enough to really enjoy it!

Glad to hear you got the love box up and runnin!!

As for photo books. We purchased a coffee table book from the Wedding Photographer, but that did not include all of our 250+ wedding photos. So, we also purchased a photo book from shutterfly.com using our favorite digital photos we got from the photographer. It was pretty good quality in my opinion.

I think I may have shared this before, but here is a link to the digital copy of the photobook.

Have fun at your AHR, but don't wear yourself out before then with all of that cooking!

I'm so glad your surgery went well!

Things are going just fine with the hubby and I. Haven't had any big issues yet.

Thank you! You're right, it's supposed to be fun. I have to keep telling myself that. I know that once I put my dress on and lift that champagne glass in a toast, all will be well!

Thanks, ladies, I'll let you know how it goes.
