Room Categories at Beaches Turks & Caicos

Recommended Posts

So now that we are considering moving our DW from Beaches Negril to Beaches T&C, it brings up the whole issue of which room category do we want to book. Our booking in Negril was for the Honeymoon Grande Luxe Beachfront Concierge room. But now looking at the T&C rooms, it looks like the lowest concierge room is the Luxury Honeymoon Junior Suite - and moving up to a suite definitely increases the price.

I'm not necessarily looking to have a concierge room - a big part of the reason we booked a concierge room was simply that all the wedding officiant fees were covered with that level room. And the TA I booked with gave us a $250 spa credit as well so the extra cost of the concierge room balanced out in the end.

So I'm looking to hear from any T&C brides (or TA's) and what category room you booked and if you liked it or would change anything if you had to do it again. Did you have a concierge room? Was it worth it? (I don't think I'd care other than you get VIP check in). If you look at Trip Advisor (which I try to take with a grain of salt) most people seem to prefer the French or Italian Village over the Caribbean. However the Caribbean is less expensive and seems to be closer to the beach (and I would like an ocean or beachfront view if possible).

Thanks in advance for any/all opinions!!

We went with a Luxury Honeymoon Jr Suite. We liked it a lot. My husband really like the minibar in the room. We could see the ocean a little bit through the trees from our room- #314.

The concierge service was okay, we did a concierge snorkling trip and a concierge cruise. I was indifferent on the snorkling trip- you can sign up for one of those yourself at the snorkling shop. The cruise was really nice, they take you out around the bay for about an hour. You get drinks and snacks. Definitely glad we signed up for that.

My advice on the part of the village you stay in- who cares? You aren't in your room very often and the resort is small enough that you can walk from one part of the resort to the other in 10 minutes. Go with the cheaper one!

Hi Kelly...thanks for the reply!! And I do agree about what you said about not being in the room that much, and that's why I don't want to book anything outrageously expensive. But when we are in the room I want it to be really nice since this is our wedding after all :) So I'm looking at this way....people say similar things about picking a room on a cruise ship (that you won't be in the room that much so having an inside or outside room doesn't matter) but when we go on cruises, we always get a balcony cabin just because we like to sit outside and have coffee in the morning...and the same thing at night...it's nice just to sit outside on the balcony and have a glass of wine before bed. So while I know we won't be in there tons...still looking for something really nice but without breaking the bank completely. I'm hoping that possible!

Any other T&C brides (ahem...I know you're out there somewhere Meagan, lol) out there with opinions on either the room you booked or even the rooms your guests booked?

Hi - Congratulations on your upcoming wedding. I am also getting married at Beaches T&C next April. You sound exactly like me - totally confused on the many room choices. I ended up booking the Honeymoon 1 bedroom luxury suite. Whyhuh.gif Mainly because I really want an ocean view of some type, plus we are getting 1 free night. I really didn't want to spend a fortune on a room - but this is our wedding and honeymoon and I know myself, if I don't have a nice room with some type of beach view, I will be disappointed. This is supposed to be one of the most beautiful beaches in the caribbean - I really would like to see that from my room KWIM? The other rooms with ocean/beach views are in the Italian Village - and more $$$$$.

We choose Beaches T&C because this is my second wedding and I have an 11 year old daughter. We were originally just going to have a small intimate wedding here in NC, but honestly, the cost of having a wedding for only 20-25 people was soooo expensive. So, we decided on a destination wedding.

Good luck with your planninng. Let us know what you decide.

Hi Michelle! wow - we have even more in common...This is my first marriage, but I was engaged previously and I have a 13 yr old son from that relationship. So this is almost more like a family vacation for us, lol. Of course, my son will be staying in someone else's room on our wedding night wink.gif So part of picking a room also includes making sure the room has a pull out sofa or a trundle.

I just looked at the Beaches site and it says the Luxury Honeymoom Suite has a view of the resort grounds...is this the room you booked or am I looking at it wrong? I def would like an ocean view if possible. It looks like the Govenors's 1 bedroom suite or Govenor's Honeymoon suite are the 2 lowest categories with any ocean view?

Hi! We originally booked the Luxury honeymoon suite in the caribbean village but were upgraded because of our TA (she sent a nice email to the resort requesting upgrades for us). I think I would have been happy with that suite. I would definitely go with the concierge level room, the stocked bar/drinks is a really nice feature plus the wedding fees are more expensive in T&C than Jamaica. We ended up staying in the Italian Villiage room 3538 which was gorgeous but we would never book that ourselves because it's so expensive but those rooms definitely are kid friendly and have x-boxes, bunk beds, etc.

So what did you think of the room you had? And what type of rooms did your guests book and what did they think of their rooms?

Congrats on the upgrade as well! I'd love to be able to book (and pay) for a lower category room and then be upgraded...but since there's no guarantees that's kind of risky for me.

The room we had was HUGE and if you like to drink, there's a minibar! We only used the minibar one night when we had people over in our room. Most of the time, we would hang out at the bar or lounge. For us, we didn't really care about what room we had to be honest, only because we knew we wouldn't spend too much time in it and we didn't!

Most of our guests booked the Turquoise Deluxe Room and the French Village Luxury Room, both are the lowest categories possible. The French Village rooms i found were nicer only because they were newer, however it was really far from the beach. The French Village rooms were cheaper than the Turquoise Deluxe Room. We had two couples who ended up wanting to switch to the Caribbean Village but all the rooms were sold out.

For us, being close to the beach was very important! :)

I vacationed at beaches turks and caicos back in July 2005 and stayed in the lowest room category. Back then we only had one child and she was almost 2 years old at the time. The room was fine, but we were not there much as most of our time was spent at the caribbean beach pool. Now were are returning in October to get married and we will have two kids. I honestly was going to get the same room as this will not be a honeymoon as we will have two kids so my thoughts where that we would not be in the room much. After much thought and going back and forth, I decided to go with the Jr. Luxury Honeymoon Suite mainly because our youngest will be 13 months and there was the concern if it would be enough room with all our suitcases, a stroller, and my crib request.
