i love the first one (the belt is GORGEOUS) and the jorge manuel one is awesome too. can't wait to see the one you DID get (from your message on the knockoff thread)!
Thanks Pam, thanks Roo!! Pam I will try posting the pic today cause last night for some reason pics and links weren't posting in my messages.
Roo the designer doesn't have a website unfortunately she lives in Miami and makes those belts specifically for the bridal shops here. That particular belt I was wearing is $250 and actually another bride saw me try it on and she bought it that same day when I said I wasn't buying it. Also each of the belts she makes is one of a kind (meaning she will make something similar but she won't make the exact same one again). The salon had several ranging in prices this one was the one I like best, the ribbons on some of them also some in different colors....like fuschia, turquoise, green. Perhaps you can call the store 305-448-3599 ask for Vivian (the owner) or you can try e-mailing them at [email protected] and asking them about the "beaded band 3-piece broaches from the local Miami designer". She will know exactly what you are talking about and she should be able to give you some more info.

I decided to go with the white one instead of ivory(showed in the pics below) because I truly wanted to wear white. Here are some pictures of the first time I tried the dress on:

Got another TTD on the weekend for $99 at David's Bridal. Just thought I'd share since I know we all love pics!!!

Excuse the mess in the background!!!! wink.gif I was going to alter the dress maybe, because I think it sort of makes me look pregnant, however everyone I've shown it too has said don't change it!

Angela - I love the detail on the top -- I don't think it makes you look pregnant, but you could probably get it altered or taken in at the sides to make it more narrow. My seamstress did that for me and it made a huge difference! I think it looks great though!! Great find.

p.s. just noticed you're a Waterloo girl! I moved about 8 months ago, but I still love it and go back all the time!

Just out of curiosity what would you have altered? I think the dress like it is will look fantastic floating in the water etc. Hot stuff!
I was thinking of having it shortened and putting crinoline underneath.... but I really don't want to even spend the money doing that. The underneath part ...so the actual dress....is fairly fitted. It's the overlay that I think makes me look pregnant...but yes, wet...it will all be stuck to me anyways or floating around on top of the water.

The top is what sold me! I basically told myself I paid $99 for that part of it! The more I show it to me people though, the more I am convinced I should just leave it.

Did you go to school in Waterloo? I lived there for awhile and am now just outside the city in Wellesley (super small!)
