Carrot Cake

lol, nevermind. Martin just came in and I said "Taste that" thinking he would go "Yuck" but he said "That's awesome." I said, "You don't think it's too sweet?" He just repeated "No - That's AWESOME." haha, guess it's not bad afterall. Woohooo! I'll post the final pics after everything has cooled and is iced.

it is suppose to be sweet...but creamy at the same time.

 

Just make sure that the whole cake is totally cold...otherwise the icing will liquify

Yes! I took them, just have to upload them... will try and do that tomorrow. It was a little like the Leaning Tower of Carrot Cake but all in all turned out ok ~ Tasted great so that's what matters!

OH, and apparently it's also Martin's Mom's fav cake (she's a BADA$$ chef) so she requested a piece and Martin said she all but licked the plate clean - 2 thumbs up

Btw, FMIL was so impressed she gave me a trophy (LOL) for my first 3 Layer Cake and then this Xmas she bought me 3 nice cake pans, flour sifter, etc...

Carrot cake is my favorite. Your cake looked delicious, I can't wait to make one!!
