Excellence Punta Cana Brides Thread

Recommended Posts

Nikki,

You do have to pay for bags on US Air but not AA. We brought all of our receipts for customs because we flew into the capital with everything and they are more strict than Punta Cana. It wasn't a problem at either airport (my mom had 2 suitcases of our stuff and she flew into PC). You can bring back Mamajuana but you have to put water in it. It can not be dry because it is a "plant"

We flew AA and they gave us the emergency exit but not 1st/business class.

Alsooooo we are featured on a wedding website which is super cool. Debbie & Benny | Real Weddings, Real Wedding Photos and Stories | Elegala.com

I'm also having turquoise (and orange) sashes, I'll bring mine back. Once I get back and post my post wedding stuff, you should see them up. Since I only have 10 of each, they may not sell anyway. I didn't pay much for them (about $10 for the 20) so I'd only want like $5 for them.

If they don't sell, you guys are definitely welcome to them.

I'm going to bringing back a TON of decorations and I'm not going to be asking much for most of it, so keep your eyes posted. If I remember, I'll come back and let you guys know it's up.

So excited, dress fitting coming up soon.....Gonna take pics of me all done up. I started crying last time when I put the veil on.

The countdown is on ladies!!

Nikki

Your right Nikki, the countdown is on for you!!! It will be here before you know it!!! Can you give me some Ideas of thinks you are taking for decorations, I"m just trying to get some ideas of everything I need to be thinking about : )

Nbulldog,
CONGRATS ON THE FEATURE ON THE WEB!!! Thats awesome and the pictures are great!!!

Odd question, I noticed that the drape that they used for the arch on the beach is longer than all of the other pictures I have seen from excellence weddings. Yours when the entire way to the ground. The others are 3/4 way down the pole. I want one that touches the ground like they had it for your wedding. Did you provide that or is it an option to have the short or long one? I thought about purchasing one if they only have the short ones. Any advice might help : )

Thanks,
Michelle

ok my fellow EPC brides, I have two dresses: a wedding gown, and a tea length reception gown as well. I was wondering when I should change into it!

I notice Boston changed before her and hubby made their grand entrance, is that the best time?

I was thinking about doing the first dance and father/daughter dance in my wedding gown and then doing the change by somehow sneaking out later, but that doesn't seem like it is practical.

I was also concerned about him doing the garter take off in a short dress! Doesn't that kind of take some of the fun out of it if he doesn't have to go fishing under a long dress for it?

I dunno, what do you ladies think?

Thanks :)
We just got ours two weeks ago and we are getting married this August. If you haven't booked your rooms yet, try to go all inclusive flight, and room through cheap caribbean. For 12 nights our stay is only 3523.23. This was a huge saving from travel agents that we talked to.

Thanks mdb! We actually have a TA who is doubling as our WC and so I feel ok with the rate she got for us. Plus we have around 40 others traveling from several states so it was easier to have someone acting as coordinator for all of that.

That IS a killer deal though with air included!

Has anyone opted to rent the speakers and Ipod connection for $200 as opposed to hiring a DJ? We have songs we want played for the ceremony for sure, and would like to dance at the reception, but I cannot squeeze in $700 for a DJ!!
