Looking for the Perfect Wedding Heel! (With Photos)

Recommended Posts

I adore your hunt for your perfect Wedding Heel!!!! I kept telling myself finding the shoes are harder than the dress?? Really. haha!! good to know someone understands my love for shoes and feels my pain for my quest!! I went into it thinking I wanted Blue Manolos... dead set on them, but they were too high and the beading was catching on my dress! BIG TEARS!!... I came out of my shoe quest falling in love with Hot Pink Kate Spade Clarice and couldnt be happier!!!

The swatch is PERFECT!!! I love Dessy. I ordered some of there swatches and color samples as well!! They came so well put together and professional!! A+ to Dessy!!

You've hit it dead on! I went into the bridal store, saw a dress on the mannequin and said, "I'll take that one". My one bridesmaid sent me a photo of a dress she kinda wants to wear and I said, "Sure! Do it". Yet here I am ordering color swatches for shoes?!?!

I totally considered those Manolos at one point too! And I NEVER thought of the beading snagging your dress. Oh, and TOUCHE on the Kate Spades!! She is fabulous!

If I have to order any other sort of color swatches I'm totally going back to dessy! You're so right about the "put together/professional" part. My swatches came in their own cardboard tri-fold folder. That way I don't have color swatches lying all over the place.

I haven't been on the forum in SO long! But I have started my crystalling on my shoes, so I had to make sure to log on and update the thread! I had a change of heart since my last decision, I found some different shoes, different style but amazing color and MUCH cheaper (my conscious was getting the best of me with the Stuart Weitzman's). Here are the winners!

I'm not crazy about the "bow" on the toe, but they blend in so well when they're on that you don't even notice them. They are a satin-y material that gives sort of a plastic look in photos, but they're beautiful in real life. Here are my crystalling materials.

And here is my work so far (yeah I know, I got a LONG way to go!) Even just the few I have tacked on so far sparkle like crazy in real life, I'm so excited!!

Adding your own sparkle to your shoes = AMAZING IDEA! :) Can't wait to see the final result!

They're gonna look amazing Raychel, and btw, I think the replacement/non-Weitzman shoes are just as fabulous as the others you'd shown earlier at the start of your thread. Actually, my faves were the ones with the ruffles, but if they didn't work with your gown, what can you do, right?

I think the new path you've taken on your "journey" is going to end in reaching a beautiful, bedazzled "destination" when your shoes are finally finished!

Good luck and keep us posted!

Becks - I almost went with kate spade too. I love the ones you chose! I've never seen anything like them before!

islandbride - Thanks! Yeah the two styles are so different but I love them both. These actually may be better for the whole laid-back/fun Mexican wedding anyway. Less formal! And you are absolutely right by calling it a destination! HA! I love it!

Mischaka - I'm going to go with the latest photo of the bright pink ones that I'm starting to rhinestone. It seems like its going to be a lot of work, but I'm so excited for them that it doesn't really bother me to sit there and tediously place glue and rhinestones on them. Since you seem to be just as excited as I am for your shoes, I'm sure it won't bother you either!! ; )
