Alison....too funny! I remember back in July 2009 and it felt like July 2010 would NEVER get here! It was a big deal when January rolled around...and then the 6 month mark....so on and so forth! Counting months...then weeks and soon days! We've all been there...staring WAY OFF into the distance...but it really does go by fairly quickly. The day to day events in your life pass the time by so quickly! Enjoy it!

Ok ladies, let me tell you this... with one week to go until I say "I DO" DO AS MUCH AS YOU CAN NOW WHILE YOU CAN :) !!! LOL!!! I leave for Cancun on Tuesday night and I still have a million "little things" I have to finish before I go. Finish BM earrings, finish guest book pages, finish table numbers, create placecard labels, etc. I got a lot done throughout the months but could have made sure things were done COMPLETELY a little sooner. I'm sure I'll get it done but it would have been nice to just worry about what I was going to wear instead of wedding details at this stage. I'm so EXCITED!!!!

Usually the initial down payment is you paying the amount of nights you are staying at the resort. So you are basically paying your entire reservation up front. Then your guest will be able to make reservations. 72 hours for guest to book doesn't sound right at all....... My guest have been able to make reservations for almost an entire year..
Ahh thanks for responding. It's good to know your guests could book for a year. I think it's the policy with the TA I'm trying to work with, but I'll talk to the WC and hopefully she'll let me book my guests for longer to count towards room nights.
We have 0 bookings and 4 months to go, so the stress is gonna start pouring in I'm sure.crybaby2.gif

My favorite restaurants when I was there a couple years ago were the Caribbean/Seafood Restaurant on the Grand side & La Trattoria at the Golf Course. A lot of people like the Brazilian steakhouse (Arrecifes), I thought it was just okay. Arrecifes does have a nice outdoor terrace though so your wedding dinner could be more private out there. I don't know if any of the other restaurants have a terrace.
