Dreams Riviera Cancun - Brides post here (new thread)

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

My apologies for asking this question if it has been asked already...too many pages to have to read through since my last post.

I asked Ana a while back about Fire Dancers and the cost. For some reason I had it that it was only $500 for their performance. When Ana replied to my message she said it was $1000. Has anyone else had a quote from Ana about this? If so, what did she say was the cost?

We're inviting 150 people, so we're doing invitations and we're sending them out mid may (4 months out from the wedding date) and requesting thier reply by August 1st (just over a month out from our wedding). We're sending them to everyone.

I'd say if you have a small group and you're looking for ways to cut costs, you could probalby cut this out - or make your own maybe!
Also - if you haven't been to Wedding Invitations, Bridal Shower Invitations & Announcements by Wedding Paper Divas yet there's pretty reasonalbly priced invitations on there that might work.

The quote I had was USD 1,000 for 40 minutes, USD 800 for 20 minutes. In my opinion 40 minutes is too long anyway, but I had hoped for USD 500 or 600 for 20 minutes. If you have something from Ana saying USD 500 could you please forward it to me please at [email protected]. Thanks!

Does anyone have, or know how to get, a list of excursions offered by Dreams? I thought it would be nice to have some idea of the off-resort activities offered and the prices?

I would also love to see a newsletter or calendar of activities offered within the resort? Did anyone keep theirs from when they were there? I thought this would be fun information to share with our guests.

If you type into Google, "Mayan Riviera" there should be a few good websites with information about what activities there are in the area. As for the excursions, usually your tour operator (the company you have flown with) will have packages. For example, we have done the all inclusive with Westjet vacations and they have someone at the hotel that can sell you tour packages.

Hope this helps?

Someone mentioned they were sending their invites 2 months before their wedding.. I would send them out a bit sooner as people have to take vacations and request time off from work.. I sent out a paperless post which gave people an option to rsvp so I have an idea who is coming. I wrote invitation to follow but will only send to the people who havent responded and the people who have told me they were coming. I sent about 150 paperless posts. It gives you an idea of who is coming as well as gives guests that would like to go enough time to get a cheap flight.... Hope this helps! Just a suggestion!! Oh I read a few posts about SLEEPLESS nights!! Too funny!!! Its scary what our minds can think up when we are fast asleep.. I have had the craziest nightmares about our wedding and I have 8 months to go!! lol

Congrats to all the new brides!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
