Question for Cabo Hilton Brides

Performance Damages is basically an agreement that in case you back out of the wedding, you will still pay 90% of what they anticipated to make off your party.

OH yes, yes. We did have that. THat is the very reason we didn't do a room block. I didn't want to be held to people's decision to stay somewhere else.

Did Emeline charge you a fee to hold the ceremony at the hilton? So your guest paid the normal rate for thier rooms?

There was a $500.00 fee for every location that we used. We used 3.

 

The guests that did stay at the Hilton got cheaper rates than Emeline first offered. Most of them did anyway.

 

In the end I did not have the 30 nights required for the room block anyway. 30 of my guests stayed elsewhere.

We decided to do the room block because Brendan and I are staying there 14 nights ourselves. That eats up about half of the 30 rooms. The other half is definitely being taken by our immediate families. If our friends stay too, then great. But at least we're covered for the minimum required.

At first I did not understand the room block, Emeline keep saying 30 rooms
I did not need 30 rooms I was asking for 15 rooms, then she explanied to me 15 rooms for friday night and 15 rooms for sat night , that equals to 30. So for me that works out since I will be there at least 6 days. I really did the room block for me , family(mom, grandmother and my best friend parents and the wedding party) to secure them a place to stay.

BTW I forgot to tell you that I had Emeline bring the room requirement down to 20 room nights - or 10 rooms at 2 nights a piece. The reason was that that was what every other hotel had required when we went down for our sight visit. I don't know if that is the standard nowadays but just in case it helps!

But to be honest we ended up with more than 20...

We used the orange ties as well. There is no charge. Emeline can give you a list of colors and she sent me pictures, so we could decide on colors. We also used the Flower Cart, but we had them take care of setting up the centerpieces. They were pretty resonable. I don't have pics yet. sorry.

Whoops! Forgot to mention, that I also did everything in email w/Emeline and brought those emails along just in case. We had no issues, so it was fine. Like with all of the vendors, I would just make sure you have everything in writing.
