yikes, that is not cool! just remember, you will be contacted by the mexican WC and then you can tell her the issues you have and she should be able to remedy that.

What happend! I honestly would wait it out being a month and a half away...you will speak with a WC from the resort...hopefully they have a little more of a clue what is going on!

you should email me, [email protected]...I went through a similar sounding situation...I am staying with my wedding at the royal because I have faith it will be beautiful and well handled down there. However, it was been heartbreaking the way things have been handled at the wedding office. Sorry you are going through it too sad.gif

sad.gif Whaaat? Not cool. I agree with the other girls, though, just wait it out and I'm sure you will be taken care of. I'm really sorry you have to go through this. I had a little break down awhile back and FI actually reserved a date with another resort, but I ultimately decided it would all work out in the end.

Can you tell us what happened? Is it something we can help with?

OK... here goes vent time LOL!

 

I was one of the girls that had Suzanna. NO CLUE she left until I called because I hadn't heard from here in hmmm 2 weeks. Angie took my file. In those two weeks that I hadn't heard from Suzanna, I was trying to upgrade from Classic to Luxury as more people were coming and I ended up wanting a full reception blah blah. Seems easy enough right?

 

Angie said she'd send me my stuff that night... never got it. I kinda gave her the benefit of the doubt since someone did just quit and I figured they'd be even more busy. A few days went by I sent her a nice reminder to send me my stuff. Nothin. My FMIL had some of the contact info in Mexico when I was having issues with Suzanna. So an email was sent out basically saying hey, can I have my new stuff. I was told final payment is April 2 and I have nothing planned. That was sent on a Friday. I get the stuff at midnight Sunday night. Contract is wrong. I get someone else's checklist. I forward that back this past Monday morning saying hey can you fix these things.

 

Such a simple fix and I hadn't received anything yesterday. I was fed up with the slowness. I know they are slow but they are so adamant about payment but really is it that hard to fix a contract and send it right back?

 

FMIL typed a nice but firm email to people in Mexico and CC'd Angie (and me) yesterday. Angie responded back, just to FMIL, that "she has been emailing me and calling me and leaving me voice mails and I have just not been responding back to her."

 

Reallyhuh.gif I don't know who she's calling but it's definitely not me. My phone is on 24/7 I NEVER turn it off... I have no voice mails. No missed calls. Nothing. It was like a huge slap in the face. I had tears in my eyes cause I was so mad. And I feel like no matter what I say they'll believe her cause they'll view me as a B***chy bridezilla.

 

Things seem to be getting resolved now though. I emailed the manager in MX, Paty Ulloa, told her I was basically appalled and can't believe the Michigan office conducts business this way, told her I was taking my business elsewhere, and she emailed me right back and said she would take over. THANK GOD!

 

I'm sorry y'all I'm not trying to be all woe-is-me... but dang. Please don't call me a liar. As the rest of you, I have a wedding folder for reasons like this. Everything they send me and everything I send them is saved. It's very disheartening when all I wanted was a revised contract and checklist and that's what I get in return!! AHHH!!!!!

 

I don't know about you guys but they drive me to drink!! I can't wait to get down there and just relax on the beach and forget about all this!! :)

That is honestly so appalling. It is not suppose to be like this! but I am glad in the end this got resolved for you. I mean how much longer can this go on before they start to loose the business?

None. Because they know that they are the best place for weddings and their packages beat every other resort hands down. They know it, and they know we will keep coming because they produce. Just like how they keep raising the fees for everything, like uping the price of the luxury wedding package almost a grand in 9 months, or changing the vendor fee to 400 dollars. It is insane, but people still book.

Well, the only thing I can think to do to is book yours/guests trips through a TA so the Michigan people don't get any commision off your wedding party rooms, at the very least. Other than that, I think you are right on here. Very, very disheartening.
I really hope this stuff doesn't continue happen to anybody else as we get all get closer.

WOW! What a story! I dunno how I would react if this happened to me. I would probably drive or fly to Michigan..or call the HQ of the resort and send in a nasty complaint. Maybe to CNN, website and other newspapers.

I am happy for you that now..you are in good hands. So far my WC, Aja, is very good.

One time, the coat check at the London NYC Hotel lost my trench coat, that chick was like...you know you are a size 0, not that many people would take ur coat...like as if I was delusional or invented a story that I checked in a coat that didn't exist at the first place. I was so upset! and almost chew her off alive (I think I insulted her verbally and sacarstically that she wished she was never born), and my FI and the hotel manager trying to calm me down so badly. Yes, I had pictures on my camera that I had my coat at the lobby to prove that I wasn't crazy.

If she apologizes, I would be just..like..oh well sux to be me. But ..implying I was delusional/lying..That was not acceptable!
