Hi Ladies,

Yahimara booked reservation for me for 15 people for the rehearsal dinner (we are only having a dinner with immediate family) She did say that this reservation would be counted as one of the 3 a la carte meals allowed per week.

Hi ladies,

Yahimara just informed me that they only have 30 chairs for the ceremony at this time. She does not know when they will get more...so it looks like half my guests will ahve to stand. I am annoyed becasue back in November she told me that we needed to book the chairs, so I sent her an e-mail booking 60 chairs and she said it was fine. Now she tells me that they only have 30....

ML23 - sorry for the late reply..we have been very busy these past few weeks (we had our stag and doe last week) We haven't purchased the humidors yet, but it does look like they are going to cost anywhere from $75 upwards each. They are pretty expensive but we're gonna try to swing it because we have a pretty amazing wedding party, and think it's a cool gift before going to Cuba :-) I'll keep you updated if we find any deals, and on where we end up getting them from.

As for the 'welcome dinner' I did email Yahimara AGAIN about this, and now she says to email her two weeks before and it will be considered one of the a la cartes.

Hey Ladies!! It's been a while since I have been on here ...

It's only 3 months away for me now and I am still a bit frustrated with the whole planning thing with Yahamira. Not only is she super difficult to get in touch with BUT she keeps giving me mixed information. I asked her last week about booking a rehearsal dinner in advance and she said that I had to wait to get there to book it!! She also said that my 8:30 dinner will not be private if the hotel is busy and that we will only know when the time comes. Is anyone else still experiencing these little issues??

For my wedding favours, I was thinking of doing personalized travel mugs as well as welcome bags. Has anyone looked into travel mugs or the pricing to get them done?? I wanted to give them something practical that they will use again ... and I know when I go on a trip, I always remember to bring a travel mug to keep my all inclusive drinks nice and cold!! :)

I was just wondering if any of you ladies have the fax number of where we need to send all of our documents to Yahimara. She hasn't responded to any emails this week (weird she is so fast sometimes). Also, I am confused yet again, when I asked her to clarify what documents were needed this is what she sent me...

Please find below the documents requested for getting married in Cuba.

If you are both single ALL THAT YOU NEED to send me:

- A copy of the passports of the bride and groom.

- A copy of the passports of the witnesses.

- A copy of the certificate of birth of bride and groom

- Tourist card of the couple and the witnesses ( This is a card you will receive at the airport when you arrive in Cuba)

- The Data Form I sent you with the Wedding Package.

You do not need to legalize or translate anything if it is in Spanish/ English or French.

Best regards,

All of our documents are in english, so is she saying that I do not need to translate or legalize anything? At this point, more confusion is just par for the course lol.

Trueloveforlife - we used Factory 21 for our stadium cups...they were great and customized them very nicely. The quality isn't top notch, but when you need over sixty of them we couldn't afford to go all out with them.

And only 30 chairs!! WTF!?? That is a f*%cking joke!! Let's all email Yahimara frequently about this because that really isn't acceptable. DW's do require a bit of compramise and we all know that things don't go as planned but making some guests stand just isn't right in my eyes. Hopefully this will get resolved before any of the upcoming brides go there

Tilly, you'll need to scan all your documents and email them to Yahimara, that is how she asked us to do it. I sent exactly what you have listed there and it seemed to be all she needed.

I have emailed her about the chairs and my friend Samantha, who is getting married the the same week as me, has emailed her as well. It's totally unacceptable, we need more chairs!!
