For the people that ask, Jen shoots out of a studio at her home...so...no need to book a hotel. That can really make the difference.

Thanks for the input Ladies, this is SO helpful! Is it much more to get the makeup done by her makeup person? Also, the ladies that have already done the BD shoot. Did you buy the photo book, or made to feel bad if you didn't? I'm assuming its an option? THanks!

I was really hoping to do something like this for a gift for my FH as well but thought it was too out of my price range. I'm so glad I found this thread b/c it seems a lot more manageable now... and I love knowing that she has her own studio and makes you feel extra comfortable. No worries, I'll be a ball of nerves too.

Quick question? Did any of you take a girlfriend or someone for support? Is it weird just going alone? I think I'd want to have my best girlfriend there to laugh with and lighten the mood. What's everyone's thoughts on that?

Hi girls! I'm headed to see Jen tomorrow! Got my mani/pedi today & I'm all ready. A little nervous, but I think it'll be great - assuming I don't get lost on my way there.

adridashanne, I'm going by myself but I don't think it's weird at all to want to bring someone!

I'm also gonna make my own book on blurb, shutterfly or mypublisher. Haven't decided which yet but they're all really reasonable.

OK, I'm back to report that my session with Jen was nothing short of fabulous! Jen rocks! She's a sweetheart & totally puts you at ease. She's ridiculously talented too, which always helps. We took a ton of shots & I had like 70 that were really really good! It was actually really hard to narrow it down. And, unlike my first shoot, this was exactly what I had in mind. yay! Can't wait to get my pics!

And Oksana (make-up) is also super talented. She completely transformed me & it was worth every penny!

Anyone considering using Jen/Oksana should absolutely do it!

I'm really glad that you had such a great experience with Jen. I agree that the makeup is well worth it. It made my eyes pop too! Wow, over 70! isn't it great to actually see the pictures right after?
