Thanks for all the info. I was planning on getting my eyelashes done before we travel. My friend went to a wedding in Mexico in September and had her's done before she went and they stayed on fine and looked great. I think it will be one less worry if i have them done before the day. But thanks for the word of warning....

I am so excited about it all i wish i was going NOW! Lol, coming from the UK we are not going to be able to do a site visit. I would love to but it just wont be possible :o(

I'm sure it will all be fine and we will have the wedding of our dreams like alot of you did x

Yeah, I saw that they can glue individual lashes on each lash now. It looks so nice and real. I am so tempted to try, but I am not sure how it will turn out. I have very short and downward lashes. I don't wanna come to work looking all weird too, I guess i will try them while I am on vacation or holiday.

I'm glad to hear about everyone's experience with makeup and hair. I'm getting married there on the 20th of the month. Yikes, it's coming up!

I have been in communication with them via email, but our emails seem to have a 2-5 day lag. I haven't thought that it was a problem at all, but I think I may be a little more lax than most brides. The whole reason why I wanted a destination wedding was so that I didn't have to stress! LOL. Also, part of the lag in communication time is my fault b/c I have taken more than a couple of days to respond back to her.

I think someone asked me before about having 30plus people at the Brazilian restaurant for our welcome dinner. Gabriela did not indicate that it was a problem, so I'm just sticking to that. However, I will print out all of my emails with her and take them down with me...just in case :)

I am only really stressing about the date. It's a little unclear but once that's sorted i will be fine. There is nothing more i'm really needing to know at this point i absolutely love the hotel and i'm sure it will all work out fine. The most important thing is we are getting married right? I'm sooooooooooo excited...

Yesther - wow less than a month. woo hoo!! Can't wait to hear your review. Good luck!

wow, they should have done this long time ago (instead of having us waiting in front of our laptop and talking to walls). By now, I am more toward the Royal Playa Del Carmen, the location is better than the Barcelo, and no kids. Meanwhile, people with kids/monsters and people with budget constraints can still stay at the Gran Porto Real and come over to the Royal on the wedding day. Of course, I can go there to visit them any time too.

sfrench0621 - thanks for the info. I've just had a look and it says in small print that legal ceremonys dont take place on sundays or public holidays. Nothing about saturday. So hopefully we will be OK to marry on the saturday. Wicked!!! Thank you for the link, i hadnt seen it before. Very useful!!
