Women don't have the testosterone (usually) to get that nasty body builder look. New research is suggesting that even with heavier weights, women can get pretty toned and lean without the bulk. Women who get huge or lose all their boobs (like those manly women on body building competitions) work out constantly and probably take loads of supplements.

We got P90x and OMG that Plyometrics one is SOOOO Hard! My legs hurts for days and my husbands legs locked up on him the next day and he almost fell getting up from his desk! We were like, why is this so hard for us and the guy with the prosthetic leg is not breaking a sweat!!! :) Great workouts tho!

Yep, you're totally right, after doing P90X it makes me realize just HOW much I'd have to workout to get bulky, hours a day with very heavy weights.

Plyo really is a real butt kicker, it's weird because you're not even going CRAZY for an hour, it's strange moves but just wait until you've been doing that for a few months, my legs toned more than I've ever seen and that workout really shrinks them up.

OMG...one of the guys has a prosthetic leg? I think I may have been sweating so hard the drops pouring down my face affected my vision, I never realized. I did this once and it took me a week to recover! Made 30 day shred seem like a cinch!

Hey Fit Beautiful Brides,

I too have a couple questions as it would take me days to read through this whole thread - if you don't mind of course

Do you really need to buy the pull bar, resistance bands, and all the other bells and whistles?

I was thinking about starting this next week after I order it on Ebay but want to know if I really will see results in 90 days. Do you have to do this everyday for 90 days or do you get breaks in between?

Any info or testimonials (lol) would really help me make a clear decision.

Thanks a bunch!

I'm currently doing my second time around on P90X, I completed it last year and got amazing results.

I would say you need either a resistance band you can hook up somewhere to pull down OR the pullup bar. I got the Iron Gym pullup bar much cheaper than they offer you with P90X and do pullups with a chair. You also definitely need a few varieties of different free weights.

You will know by the end of the 90 days what you need to do or if you want to do it immediately all over again.

Good luck!
