Anyone out there usng Limewire.com to download music?

My question is that anything I download directly to iTunes from a CD registers with the artist/song name/album title. BUT, anything I download from limewire, while it lists all the info in my Limewaire library, only transfers to my iPod saying "Track 1", etc. So, I have dozens of songs that only have a track number. Didn't know if there is a way to configure it to carry the info over from Limewire to iTunes. Otherwise I'm going to have a helluva time going back and forth and changing all these names. Ugh.

I use Limewire all the time---- people have reported security issues with the software, but in the more recent versions, they have added parameters you can change yourself to keep your machine more secure. Basically, you just need to make sure you set your software to take music, but not share any files with anyone else.

You can get corrupt files (which it usually tells you about and you can abort) before they download. And if you allow others to share your music, you can become more susceptible to problems on your computer. But if you only set your parameters to download files and not let others upload then you should be fine.

I use it all the time and have no problems with the file names.. maybe it's a setting with your iTunes? I have the files download into a folder on my desktop and iTunes sees the new files and loads them immediately with song titles or however it was labeled through Limewire by the user.

I too have it set up to not share files from my computer.. too scary!

Loved Limewire until it crashed my hard drive....ugggh!

It was my fault though, I was getting literally hundreds of songs a day and didn't have the proper protection for my pc. It was like having unprotected sex with 60 men a day....lol....I should have know I'd catch something eventually. Now my anti-virus software keeps everything cool.

Definitely block the sharing!

I will definitely look in to that! No instructions came with my iPod, so I am flying by the seat of my pants. lol. Getting it that tech-savvy area a bit late, I must say, but trying to make up for lost time now!! Thanks for the input!@!
