I put mine on the right hand during the ceremony because I didn't really have a good place to store it, I'm not sure what tradition is?

I think that would be the best thing...because he has to put something on your finger and you will want to wear it afterward!

Maybe we will go tomorrow and just browse. We will go to the place wear he got it to make it easier...I just assume that customizing will be expensive..but maybe not...I seriously only wanted to spend like $300 or less on a band if I got one...

Your ring sounds kind o like mine. I opted to have mine made because I didn't like any bands I was finding they were all too thick. I had a very thin band with 11 small diamonds placed in it made to match my ring, it is simple and pretty.

This is a really, really lousy picture but you may get an idea of the size of the band in relationship to the e-ring, again sorry for the size.

Oh, duh on my end...lol...yes I would have him use the r-ring in the ceremony. That's what I planned on doing, but we found a band I liked for like $20 when we got to Mexico so I used that for the ceremony and kept my e-ring on the other hand.

But I'm in a similar boat---- We haven't seen any bands that really go with the E-ring without doing a custom band. So we're thinking about changing out the band in a couple more months...

oh i'm going to try this approach! i'm swedish too, but never knew this!

when we went ring shopping there was one e ring that i really liked but just didn't go with any other bands. had i gotten that one, i wouldn't have done a wedding band.

also my cousin has a really unique e ring and she didn't do a band.

I personally like the idea of having both because of the symbolic nature.

My ring would definitely stand alone and be fine (it has 3 round stones and 2 baguettes on either side so it's very sparkly). Luckily after looking at 4 stores we found a ring that matched almost perfectly to mine - it has little round and baguette diamonds that alternate. We are having two tiny round stones on either end removed and filled w/white gold so that both rings end in baguettes. It really is amazing how they match up! So glad we found this one because we were thinking we'd have to go the custom route as well. Well, I guess it has been customized but there was no charge. We should be getting it in soon, can't wait! (Though I must admit it's gonna be hard to hold off wearing it until '09)

Here's my set btw:
