ohh i have some suggestions...

i have been to disney more times than i care to remember... for work mind you , so i wasn't doing all the fun stuff there.

so here's where I would definitely stay:

Royal Pacific - it's not disney but really close and really nice. one of my favorite orlando properties ever. and close to universal which is my fav theme park. also there disney is not shoved in your faces like every where else

Animal Kindgon - so fun! and we didn't smell poop at all. however it's a little further away

Ok places:

Yacht Club

Beach Club

Where I would not stay:

Swan/Dolphin - in serious need of updates. it's musty and icky. although they have really comfy beds, and the location is great - close to Jelly Rolls, a super fun piano bar!

Grand Floridian - ick, ick, ick. my sheets were always dirty. one morning i was stepping out of the shower and grabbed a towel from the rack, opened it up and found that the bottom 1/3 of the hotel and old blood all over it. i was so repulsed.

Hotel Lobby. It was so pretty with the safari theme.

Rooms facing the savanna. I recommend this if you can do it. So beautiful!

My honey outside by the pool (although you can't see it.)

There were so many animals to take pics of but I had a hard time. They ended up looking like lumps on the grass.

And just an added note, the property is so cool because they bring in African safari tour guides to answer all the questions about the animals you see around the property. Apparently, Disney sets them up with some kind of scholarship program. It's pretty cool just to listen to the accents.

I didn't work for Disney, but the company I used to work for did events on Disney properties ALL the time! Orlando was my second home for many years.

I have NO idea! Good question!

oooh.. I found this:

Quote:
The resident expert consulted with a zoo vet and learned that although giraffes are generally quiet animals, they can make a bleating sound, similar to that of a young calf or sheep.

A page from the Indianapolis Zoo confirmed this fact, and stated that giraffes can also make a "low, fluttering sound."
Do giraffes make any kind of vocalization or noise?

I'm not sure when you are planning on going on your honeymoon but last summer and this summer Disney had an AMAZING deal on for the end of August and throughout September. You book your hotel and park tickets as a package and you get free dining!! You eat free at the best restaurants in Disney--it is wonderful! We booked our honeymoon for this August at the Animal Kingdom Lodge because we both loved the atmosphere and scenery last time we visited WDW. I would suggest deciding what type or theme vacation you would like and then go from there (Beach Vacation-Caribbean Beach Resort or Beach/Yacht Club, Outdoor/Wilderness Vacation-Wilderness Lodge Resort etc.) Hope that helps!

I liked the Dolphin - especially if you want to go to Epcot. FYI - if you go to Epcot, eat dinner at Morrocco Land (the restaurant in the back that's hidden) and make sure you go to The Land and then do the behind the scenes tour (it's SO amazing - they are growing food hydroponically to test how they could feed parts of the world that don't get water). The Swan is a bit musty.

Also, there's a very cool bar/restaurant in the Dolphin. Loved it there.
