About the TTD I saw a couple do one when we were there and if you're planning on getting in the water you will have people watching so be prepared. Of course you won't draw a crowd it's not in an area like that but people are laying out around you. And it's a really rocky and unsteady walk to the lighthouse so wear flats or flip flops. We did lighthouse pics the day before the wedding and I decided against it for the day of because it took me a while to get down there and I didn't want to risk an injury, knowing my luck that would've happened. There's also a nice long pier but sometimes a boat or two is docked up to it....still could get some good pics there.

I have a question for any brides who had their reception on the beach. I am having my reception on the beach and want to put small candles around the tables that people are eating at. Did you put candles out? If so did you do real candles or the fake ones that run on batteries? Would you suggest one over the other due to wind and them blowing out?

I'm looking for some thoughts.

Also, is anyone willing to share their programs for those that did the legal ceremony there. I want to put my programs together but don't know how the ceremony is structured to get started.

Thanks in advance for anyone who can help :)

My Reception wasn't on the beach....It was on the terrace and I can tell you this..not ONE of my candles stayed lit :-( I was upset because they were the main focus of my centerpieces that I made.
So if your not going to have them in one of those Hurricane vase's, then I would go with the Fake candles :)

Lots of luck :)

I had my reception on the beach and it is windy. I don't think candles will work.

We went to Bulldog the first night out and since I had never heard of it I was skeptical but we had a great time. The girls danced and the guys drank, Bernardo hooked the guys up with a table right by the dance floor. I got in for free and I think everyone else paid $40, cover is usually $45. But that included bottle service so it was a good deal. Then we went to Coco Bongo another night and it was crazy packed but Mini-me (and yes he actually goes by this and is really small) got us a couple tables. Definitely hook up with one of those guys to take you where you want to go. And they stay out with you to make sure you're OK which is crazy because they'll be at the resort the following morning leading that day's activities. They work all the time!
Mini-Me is awesome! He hooked us up as well. And Z (you'll see her playing beach volleyball everyday) was great! She went out with us twice and got us the hook up.

I posted a review in the wedding reviews section with lots of pictures. I actually just got the website for my professional ones and will add a few when I get the CD. The review is under Maria's Dreams Cancun Review. Have fun planning!

i had a legal ceremony and waited FOREVER for claudia to get back to me with the order of the ceremony, so my programs were done totally last minute. i used the order claudia gave me, and it turns out that it was incorrect anyway. we added a sand ceremony and it definitely came earlier (i think either right before or after the rings?). everything else was correct tho. here is what i had on the ceremony page of the program:
Prelude
Nothing Else Matters: Apocalyptica (Cover of Metallica)
Processional
Just Like Heaven: String Quartet Tribute to The Cure
Bridal Processional
Canon in D: T. Carter Music, Highland Serenade
Welcome
Marriage License Reading
The Meaning of Love and Marriage
Ring Ceremony
(The rings are inscribed with the Irish Gaelic words “Mo Anam Cara,†meaning “My Soul Mateâ€)
Exchange of Wedding Vows
Signing of Marriage License
Unity Sand Ceremony
Reading by groomâ€s Godmother, Mary Clark
Pronouncement of Marriage
Presentation of Wedded Couple
Recessional
For Once in My Life: Stevie Wonder
(This song was the brideâ€s parents†wedding song nearly 40 years ago.)
