Alter this dress???

Ok, here's what she said:

 

"Yikes..I would say no. It's just going to kill the silhouette.

Especially this one. It looks like Chiffon which is a pain in the *** to

work with because it shifts around under the sewing machine."

 

At least now you won't have to go in somewhere and be laughed at cheesy.gif

 

She also added this:

 

"Completely understandable (I told her about you not wanting to walk in

somewhere and have them laugh at you, lol). They might try it but I can't

say that she would like the results. Better to go with something within 2 sizes of

what you need. I'd say that's the limit."

Thanks Jaime! That really helps. It is a chiffon-like material which I know is a b**ch to alter. I'm bummed...but I kinda already knew that that's what the answer would be. I really appreciate you going out of your way to spare me some humiliation at the seamstress!
