So now I'm planning it- Unfortunately, Elizabeth Medina who will be photographing my wedding is not available for my TTD-- I was sad, but she is a very busy, talented woman, so of course I understand. I am now looking to get Cecilia Dumas, who also does beautiful work. OK OK on to my questions!!

1. Cecilia's package is for a one hour session. Is that enough time? I have noticed that most other packages are for 2 hours...

2. I am doing the session the day before the wedding, one of FI's requests. OBVIOUSLY I cannot wear my dress, so I am looking to get a knockoff one made online. Do you have any suggestions on the best fabric? Also, the one I was looking to get redone, is Maggie Sottero 'Reese'. Do you think it's too slim from the waist down to look good in the water?

I really don't know what I would do without you guys!! smile03.gif
I'm deciding b/t Cecilia and our wedding photog. Do you mind telling me how much she quoted you for the hour? I'm getting a different quote from another bride and just wanted to compare. As for the dress, I actually tried that one on before deciding on the one I bought (also Maggie) and it's great. It has enough fabric to look really good in the water and the material is perfect!!

I really don't want to drag 2 dresses to the DR and will NEVER wear the real wedding dress again so I am leaning towards trashing my real ($1500) dress.
I used one dress. We did the TTD after the wedding and yes my dress got heavy after I jumped in the pool. I actually wrapped myself in a towel and took my dress off after we were all done the pictures.
The dress is totally fine 6 months later and looks totally brand new!

I used my real dress and I highly recommend it! I figured I had ZERO use for my real dress after the wedding anyway and believe it or not it came out pretty clean from the pool, it really doesn't looked trashed at all!

Yes it was VERY heavy when wet what I did though was I wore swimsuit bottoms under my dress for the TTD. then when we were done with the shoot we went into the hotel bathroom that is down by the pool and my mom helped me get out of my soaking dress and then i put on a tank top. we got a trashbag from the pool bar and threw the dress in the bag to carry it back up to the room.

once back to the room I hung the dress up in the shower and rinsed it off there throughly. a couple of days later it was dried in the shower and then I just brought it back home in the garment bag I carried it out in!

I like the top. Do you have pics of the whole dress? It's a good idea b/c then you'll have amazing pics of both dresses.

Lady Trunck--I PMd you back :)

I'd think flowy, light dresses would be best for TTD. You just have to remember, the dress will be sopping wet so it'll become MUCH heavier than when it's dry.

I think that the TTD sessions are the only thing (besides marrying my love) that I really care about in my wedding!
