Ochie, did you find your dress yet?

I've been searching all over...I fell in love with a Maggie Sorretto dress I found at Bride and Beyond (luckily I had a great woman helping me but I HATE the setup of the store and the one hour time slot rush) but it didn't get the reaction I was looking for from my sisterssad.gif

I also liked a Casablanca dress I found at Beckers Bridal (good selection of dresses).

I'm thinking I might go back for the Maggie dress but we will see.

now however, another friend of mine who is getting married as well went there and she loved the service & the store although she ended up getting her dress at bridal fraire after i told her about that place.

good luck if you do decide to go.

another place i was told to check out but never made it too was 'pearl' in port credit.
Hey Midnight,

I finally made it out to Jealous Bridesmaid out of sheer curiosity. I haven't found my dress yet and I am getting down to the wire. I was one of two brides in the store and had a FANTASTIC experience. I admit their choice of dresses are limited but that worked for me - I didn't feel overwhelmed with all the choices.

They were able to pick out three dresses that suit me perfectly. They let you take off your shoes and wipe your hand with baby wipes before you go in which some people may find snobby but I was impressed with the store and the service there.

I plan to check out Bridal Fashion Fraire as a last resort and then make my selection. I will keep you posted!

I'm so glad you had a good experience there!! That is great. I also liked that they were delicate with the dresses by making you take off shoes & wipe your hands.

Ivy at Bridal Fashion Fraire is so sweet. They have tonnes of dresses there & price ranges so if you know what you are looking for it might help.

Wow - this post is great - lots of new shops to check out!! :) I've been to Bridal Fraire, Beckers and the Dress shop on the danforth, they have all been pretty good!! Bridal Fraire and The Dress Shop had the best prices so far and seem to be willing to negotiate.

This is fun!!

I will be donating my beautiful dress back when I'm done and I do suggest it to anyone else too! The website is The Brides' Project - Fighting cancer, one dress at a time

Wow, this is great!! I just made myself an appointment :)

Ladies!! I found my dress!

Went to the White Toronto sample sale this morning and picked up a gorgeous dress at a teeny tiny fraction of the price!! If you're not going, call them and book an appointment! It's today and tomorrow, I was pretty lucky to get an appointment for this AM, probably because it was a work-day.

I'm so excited! I'm going to make a few changes and of course needs alterations but the dress is in amazing condition! :)

Now I just need to book the hotel! lol
