Hi all!!!! We are having our wedding near the DUck area, beach wedding and house reception...I was wondering if anyone had catering, cakes etc that they would very much recommend? Also my fiance's famiy is bilingual, but his grandparents and some other relatives are not English speaking (spanish) I was wondering if anyone knows of a bilingual officiant that could do part ceremony in spanish? I have been online, but couldn't find anything? I would appreciate any help!! :) thank you in advance!!

I am getting married in Nags Head in Sept. I have a great caterer )Carlina Catering Company) and although I haven't met our cake designer, I have heard that her cakes are great (Great Cakes).

I am wrapping up all of my planning so let me know if you have any other questions.

We once were getting married in New Orleans. But due to our little ones arrival in April we are moving our wedding to the place we first meet, which is the Outer Banks. Right now it's between Manteo or Duck. I heard that Red Sky Cafe was really good, so we are looking at them for a possible cater.

I don't know much about Red Sky Cafe but I looked on their website and their menu looks great. There are great caterers all up and down the beach.

Ever since planning my wedding I have a new desire to help others in the planning phase and would love to help if you have any questions. My husband and I are photographers so I have met a lot of the caterers and other vendors in the area.

Are you thinking of hiring a caterer to come to a home, etc. or would you like to have the reception at the restaurant?

We're planning on getting married in OBX next summer. We found a great deal at the Sanderling but they only provide it during off peak times. The package basically did all the work for you except clothing which I was really excited about. With nieces and nephews coming we can't get them out of school for it. So now we are trying to decide whether to just have the wedding at a big house and have it catered or have it at a restaurant. About 22 people total. We prefer to have it near Duck or Southern Shores. If anyone has any suggestions I'd greatly appreciate it.

Hi, I'm new. We just decided to have a destination wedding to OBX. I fell across it and fell in love, and so did my mom (which is a miracle) and my fiance. We are choosing to rent a house for a week. We want the 4x4 area, because it makes our hearts melt. There are some massive houses in the area so I recommend renting a house and having it catered.

I have also just recently decided to have my wedding in the outer banks. After visiting obx for the first time in 2008 I fell in love!! I have a long time to plan my wedding but feel very lucky to have such a huge timeline, I'm hoping it will take some stress out of the whole ordeal as well as time to save money and do all the DIY'ing that I can!

I am also getting married in the outer banks. After visiting obx for the first time back in 2008 I fell in love! I am really lucky to have so long to plan before my wedding, it gives me time to save money and get all of the DIY'ing done that I can do. Cannot wait to be in the outer banks again! If anyone can suggest a photographer that would be awesome! :)
