We'll see!!! I will need down time from the wedding to get into the wedding reception planning again. I don't think I could handle the stress back to back receptions.
Are you thinking of having one soon after you return?
That's a great idea..waiting until you can use the outdoor space. It's brutally cold in NY in February, I could wait until the weather breaks... This idea of the AHR is very new for me, I am trying to figure it all out. I do know one thing.. I want everyone to see my dress..lol, but I am in NO rush to start planning anything else right now!!

I do have access to a wonderful two story social room that is inside of my bridesmaid building. I could hold it there FREE of charge smile29.gif here is the link to the room Social Room - The Watermark on Hudson Amenities I live in Manhattan and this property is 15 minutes away from my house. I am considering catering some food and watching my wedding video with family and friends WEARING MY DRESS :))))

svetayasofiya--no I am not a model..thank you for the compliment :)

Yeah we do a little pestering of newbies, helps with your post count. My tip for newbies is to say a quick Hi to all the Newbies. Really quickly adds up. Good luck on the dressing fitting... mine is tomorrow evening. YIKES shitfan.gif I maybe shots.gif all the way home.

VDAYBRIDE!!!

First!!!!! Yes, you are shocking beautiful!!!! I cannot wait to see your wedding pictures. (girls can say that to each other, right??)
If you have access to that kind of venue for free "That be the place for me", My concern with the outdoor AHR I have planned is the weather. This summer was brutal here in Canada and everytime I planned something outside this summer it bloody rained. We are planning on the wedding video being shown on a flat screen tv and pictures to run on a computer for everyone to see.
I would be booking that place in your gfriends building "that is a great spot'.

Meyer2010!!!
I love this thread... everyone is so down-to-earth. I have the try on tonite... I spoke to the seamstress yesterday and she explained the the dress is in the under shell stage!!!!! so not sure what idea I'll be able to get tonite of what the actual dress finished will look like. I am hopeful...
Have a great day ladies

That room looks great and 15 mins from you and free makes it even better!! I say go for it. And definately wear your dress again. That's how I justified the price - I'm wearing it twice so divide the price in half. ha ha ha

Wow... England is a place I've always wanted to visit. Someday we will! My FI promised me a trip to Europe after we are married. Yayy!

*shellk*
We moved to Shanghai, China in Oct. 2008 for work. We both work for the same automotive company (I'm a training AA and my FI is the Director of Program Mgmt) and they started a plant here and asked us to live here for 2 years. The time has went really fast! We might stay a little longer! I absolutely love the shopping, nightlife and scenery. Shanghai is a town of 23 million people! Can you imagine? The only downside is the smog! Somedays it is terrible but we do have about 10 days in a month with blue skies! I've had my wedding dress, veil, bridesmaid dress, and most of my OOT bags stuff made/bought here! It's hard to plan a wedding from China but we are managing. Thanks to great family back in Michigan!

If any of you are traveling to Asia, stop on by! LOL

Time to head to work, talk to you girls later!

Hi My Ladies,

Erica, China!!! your so far away!!! how is it being so far from home? I am pushing my stepdaugther to go to Europe next summer for dance instruction, and she is so freaked out about being away from home. I think it is so good for their growth and independance to be away from home.

Ok ladies have the first draft of my dresss. so here goes... I was very happy, it felt great. I know it is a work in progress and it will be more my dress next week when I go back again for another fitting. So here you have me "HR Puff N Stuff and I included the dress I cloned mine from:

As you can see there are details like the waist that are missing and the spilt front. The front will be spilt and hemmed next week and the waist band attached. I also changed the dress to halter to have more support for the twins.

Night gals... Not sure where I am tucking you all in from NY Uk USA China .. where ever, I am very happy tonite "I have a dress", well almost!!!!

OMG!!!!! You are going to look absolutely stunning in this dress! I LOVE the detail with the jewels around the waist! You look ecstatic in the picture!

Isn't it great to see the progress of your dress? How long will it take to be finally done? I bet you can't wait to bring it home!?! What shoes will you wear? My dress is similar with it being split but in the side and I love how the Chiffon flows in your dress!

Good job girl!!! Good night. It's only 11:15am here so while you are sleeping I'll be working! Booo.... boring!

Here is my dress (but picture it in ivory and a size 16 not size 2 like on the model) lol
