Beaches Boscobel Ceremony Sites

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone! Okay so I'm here looking at the pictures of the ceremony sites for beaches boscobel... arizona, fountain, terrace, garden... and I'm wondering is this it? What about a gazebo on a beach? I keep seeing this small gazebo in all the beaches/sandals pictures that I love but is this not an option at Beaches Boscobel?? And in regards to decorations... are my only options the Martha Stewart collection or nothing? I really don't want to spend that much on decorations and the cheapest options do not go with my colors. I was thinking maybe I should just buy decorations here and bring it there... it would probably be a lot cheaper... do they allow this?

I don't think they have an actual gazebo on the beach...I believe you have to pay separately for arches. I do know they have the gazebo that overlooks the ocean...that is what I am going to choose!

I think you can bring your own things, but I guess it depends how much you have to bring along and if it will be difficult to transport.

Hi, I just came back from there.

There is no gazebo on the beach. There is a little gazebo called Arizona's Pier, which right off the restaurant. There is not much room or many angles for photo opportunities. But I saw a ton of weddings there. There is the Venetian terrace, which is huge and overlooks the ocean and resort. The wedding gazebo is there but we did not use it, we wanted to be against the wall overlooking the beach. There is also a beautiful garden area where you should take photos, regardless of your wedding site. I saw a few people getting married on the beach. I felt bad for them, the sand is hard to walk in and I'm sure most of their photos have the floating raft vendors in them. The night we arrived my husband and I walked all over the grounds to see which area we liked best. Also consider what time you are getting married, and where the sun will be so you are not squinting in your photos.

I got married on the beach with no arches or gazebo and loved it. There were floating bouys in our pictures, but I really didn't care. I didn't see the point of going to JA to get married if we weren't going to be on the beach. So I guess it jsut depends on how much you care about the little things. The trade-off to me was worth it. And we had our reception in the Ventian Terrace and it was GORGEOUS! The only upgrade that we had was the asian lanterns (I think that's what they are called), and they looked very cool in our photos. Definitely worth the upgrade.

The wedding gazebo is built into the Venetian terrace with coordinating stone/tile, off to one side. It is beautiful, I just wasnt crazy about it because some of it faced the hotel doors and I didn't want them in my pics. We didn't even have decor where we stood but the pics are still beautiful. I have a slideshow on the Boscobel review thread I made.

Hi When I first booked our wedding back in January, the free weddingmoon I was told by my WC that there would be an arch on the beach and minimal decorations, but it was something so I was ok. Now she is saying with the new Martha Stewart packages you have to purchase any/all decorations and they must be in one of the packages, nothing a la carte. The cheapest package starts at $1800! No decorations come in the sweet beginnings package. If a simple basic package was $500, I would say ok but $1800 is not something I wanted to do for an hour of decorations. She told me one thing and now since they added MS packages,, we should be given the option of keeping our "free package" which was what was available when we booked.

Well that answers my question...because I was wondering if any of those Martha Stewart items could be purchased a la carte. I like the first pink package, but I almost think the pink is over the top. I was hoping to maybe get one or two of the items. The basic package is just white, but with the magenta on the cake and a few other places. You could always ask them to remove the magenta accents and bring your own instead.

Honestly, we did have any special decorations on the beach, and we really didn't need it. They set up the chairs and a little table off to the side with drinks. We also hired the steel drums, which I totally recommend. Anyway, my point was, when you are getting married and you are up there with the minister, you don't really NEED anything else. Unless it's what you want, of course.
