Calling all November 2009 Brides!

Recommended Posts

Whew....I'm feeling the time flying by-but still it seems to be so slow, I'm not exactly sure how that's happening....

Melissa-I would probably skip OOT bags or keep them to a bare minimum-something like a short welcome card to thank them for coming and some special chocolate or something like that. At such a last minute you'll feel rushed to find things to make it special and the cost will add up fast. Especially since your guests will be there for such a short time.

I'm so excited, my shower is this weekend. It's funny because months ago when I joined I had this post about being sad for not having anyone I would invite to a shower since I don't really have a lot of close girlfriends where I live. I didn't really even want a shower but my mom was really looking forward to throwing one for me so I decided to go ahead. Now we have maxed out the number of people for the location she chose that have all RSVP'd for the shower. I guess I didn't realize how many people in my life are genuinely interested in my life and were thrilled to be invited. Even a couple of my long-time clients found out and wanted to come. I thought I would dread it but I'm actually looking forward to it.

Brandon's bachelor party is this weekend also, he and his buddies are going to the bikini bar for a night of drunken debauchery. I asked one of his friends to set something up and offered to cover the expenses so his buddies suprised him with it last weekend and he was so thrilled. I don't think it's the bar part, it's more the fact that his buddies are doing it.

My experience was very similar to yours. I was laughing and I kept wrinkling my nose thinking I was making a sexy face. lol. I should have practiced in front of a mirror before hand.

I made my book myself through blurb.com and I got it yesterday. Took me a a couple weeks to get it just right and when it arrived I was impressed. Quality is great and I know that FI is going to hit the floor when he sees it. I can't wait.

Im not to crazy on the ones that are like a round ball, I like it to be a little bit more dimensional. I think I may have to go with number 2 :)
I'm excited to see how it turns out. I love a unique bouquet. I've just got word that mine has just been shipped and I should get it in about 10 days. Woot woot! Here are a couple of pictures of mine...

I really don't have anything to compare it to. My photographer showed me a book done by blurb and one done by my puplisher. The one my my publisher was a bit nicer but I don't like their program for putting the book together.

I decided to go with Blurb because I like their program. I upgraded the paper and did an image wrap hard cover. For the 30 some odd dollars I spent on it I'm really happy with the way it turned out.

I hope so too. My stem is made of plasted coted wires and then it's all wraped together, then a layer of form (for comfort and plushness) and then wrapped again with ribbon. Fingers crossed it can stand the test of time, and travel for that matter. :-)

The button bouquets are so awesome. The photographer showed me bouquests made of feathers while I was doing my shoot. I'm curious to see how my not so sexy pictures turn out.

Jess, I do have some pics but I will post the pics of my official bac party which is on Oct. 24. We are doing an 80's Theme!!!

How is everyone doing on there planning? My BM's dresses came in yesterday. I didn't really care for them but I'm not going to stress out about it.

There is soo much going on. We get the keys to our home today and then were off to New Orleans for the week!!!

Wow Jessica sounds like you have a lot on your plate. I'm pretty much finished everything. I'm just waiting for my garter and bouquet to arrive. Then I can pick up my dress and continue on packing.

Just got an e-mail from my photographer that they're offering an additional $250 worth of wedding day pictures and not charging a service fee (5% usually charged if final payment is made via paypal) for the last payment if paid by 10/15. Perhaps I'm over excited about this but a penny saved is a penny earned.
