Just steps away from the adults-only rooms is the quiet peace of the adults only pool, swim-up bar and the unique island lounge spaces throughout the massive pool area. Large pool mat floats can also be found poolside and are free to use. 

What I really loved about the pool area is that there was always ample seating and lounge chairs around the pool. If there’s anything that kills a relaxing vibe, it’s having to scramble to get a lounge chair. 

But that was never a problem during our visit and to top it off, the service around the pool was always top-notch. The servers are attentive and the drinks are delicious. 

For those who want to splurge a little, you can rent one of the island lounge spaces for the day and it comes with two extremely comfortable Bali beds, fresh towels delivered to your island throughout the day, drink/food service and two bottles of champagne. The island spaces also come with their own private stairs into the pool, so it’s easy to dip into the pool if you find yourself needing to cool off a little.

I felt so at incredibly relaxed whenever we spent time at this pool and if you find yourself there long enough, the sunset view facing the ocean is exactly what tropical dreams are made of — the ocean breeze will calm your soul and the view is absolutely spectacular. 

Now Onyx offers the perfect mix of family-friendly appeal and adults-only serenity. It’s the perfect resort for wedding couples who want to accommodate guests with children, but also satisfy guests who want a relaxing adults-only getaway. And to be quite honest, this resort excels on so many levels in terms of food, service, accommodations and amenities, I'd even consider this property over a complete adults-only resort. Yes, it's that good.
