b21fly, - Transfers - I booked everyone with USA Transfers. I have used them for years. They are easy to work with. - Dress - Unfortunately we flew Sun Country and they will do nothing for you. Some airlines will allow you to hang it in First Class, but not SC. We brought it out in the open. We lightly rolled it up and put it in a carry-on bag all by itself to take it thru security and then immediately took it out again. When ready to board, we rolled it back up and brought it on the plane. It wasn't too bad. I had it steamed when we were at the resort. - Maracas - We shopped for them in playa the day b4 the wedding. Found a place that sold them for $1 usd each. They have them everywhere in playa. You can even buy them at the resort, but i think they were something like $5usd. MrsShoreytobe, A few pages back i have a link to our photos that were taken by resort photographer. The one thing i would recommend is plan ahead. Make a list of all the pics you must have. We got home with all our pics and now there are pics that we wished we had. One of the obvious was a full length photo of the two of us. In all the hustle, it got missed. Also set up your time to view your photos as soon as you can. We reserved the end of our vaca to view them, and then felt rushed to pick photos and have photo albums made. There ended up being a mistake (missing pic) in our books and no time to correct it.

Yes, we were very happy with the Steakhouse. We did our grooms dinner there with 20pp. Everyone was friendly and food was great!

The Sunset gazebo is on page 105 of this thread. I think they can fit that many people and there is no beach access on the right and i think it is roped off on the left with a good distance between beach people and gazebo. I remember looking at the sunset gazebo and wishing we would have picked that one instead of the riviera one. We had our wedding late, like 4:30pm, I think this was a good idea. A lot of the beach people were heading in to get ready for dinner by the time our wedding was done and when we started taking pics. The resort was also supposedly booked full the first week of April, but sure didn't seem that busy on the beach. I think depending what time of the year you go, will also determine how many gawkers you might have. I really wasnt a problem for us. I think the gazebos are far enough away from the water that it is not a problem.

That gazebo (korenann's) is the Riviera side gazebo. It can fit well over 60 people. We didn't like it. It is two tiered, so the guest sit in the lower tier and the ceremoney with a podium is in the upper tier. I suppose it is great for pics, but for the guest, there is so much in the way that it is hard to see anything. We had 53 people. 12 of us were standing, so we seated 41 people, no problem, and we did it all in the lower tier. We didn't even use the upper tier except to do our sand ceremony on the podium. It probably doesn't matter tho, bcos our guests said it was hard to see anyways, bcos videographer and cameraman were always in the way. I think the Sunset gazebo would have been better, tho probably more beach traffic tho.

@zev We used the resort photographer. They know what they are doing. @ckl - Yes, there are some things alacarte. It's on their website: "http://www.princess-hotels.com/web/en/DOCS_BKLD/docs/WeddServ2009.pdf" They can do most anything, i'm sure. - The beach was fine. You can navigate the rocks. The vendors are not an issue. You can move to a section where there are none. - Chill out is not the only option. They can setup on the beach. You can also have indoor reception. They have large banquet rooms. - I have taken outdoor dinner cruise in February. Take a sweater and it will be no problem. - I saw others go to the disco after their wedding. It's really loud so older people may not appreciate it. The outdoor courtyard bar usually had a live band from like 6pm to 9pm, which would make for a nice intro for the older people. The bands were usually really good. Get there early so you can save a bunch of seats.

Hi sunBride2be, I thought i answered you, but i must have forgotten to post. Anyways the riviera gazebo is on the beach at the end of the Riviera platinum rooms. Its a good distance from the center main bar and beach bbq, so a little more secluded, but you will never get rid of all the beach people. Your question on drinks being setup is probably a question for the wc. I'm sure she can do whatever you like for the price. We did have a beach reception, but we had it offsite at a beach club in Playa Del Carmen. I did see them setup for another wedding while we were there and it was outside the Chill Out Lounge (which is an outdoor beach club with covered section). We had a DJ that i could recommend to you, but GSP usually doesn't allow outside vendors. They want you to use their people. You would have to as wc about that. I do recommend that if you do a beach reception, get the lighted dance floor. It's awesome and a must! Later...

We just got back. I can probably show you some, when we get organized. What kind are you looking for? The one tip i can provide is to look at them as soon as you can. We put them off until the end of our stay and then we ran out of time to get the pics into printed books exactly the way we wanted. It was a little frustrating, but we have all the pics so we can do what we want at home.
