  1. I had the same thought about the photographer...If you get him/her a day pass as a "guest" can you get around the vendor fee? Has anyone done this? Seems to me that you could argue this point fairly easily, idk? I mean a "guest" can take as many pics as they want, right?
  2. I am also scheduled for a 5pm ceremony in late June and want to have the Private beach dinner/reception. Is the beach recption area near the gazebo? If so, I am hoping that since we are the last ceremony of the day that the reception will be set up and my guests can go there after rum punch while we take a few pics. I'm also hoping that the photographer will get all of the wedding party pics before the ceremony so that all we have to do is the bride/groom and group/family photos after. I looked up sunset time for around my day and it is 6:40ish I believe, so I am hoping that it will be perfect for pics. My only concern is that I've read that the resort beach party is on saturdays now and that you can not do a beach reception. If that is true, then I need to change my day STAT! But, no one has said anything to me about not being able to have the beach dinner. I hope I am not disappointed.
  3. Thank you for the help ladies!!! So, I've read on here that the beach party is on Saturdays...is that correct? And if so, then should I change my wedding date and beach dinner/reception to Friday? Or does anyone know what time the beach party is at? In my correspondance with booking, they did not tell me I couldn't have a beach reception on the 23rd. I don't want to have plans in my head and then be blindsided and not be able to have what I want. Also, here's my thought/question about vendor fees: what if I purchase a day pass for the photographer and he is my "guest" would that be a way to get around the fee? I mean, guest can take as many pics as they want, right, lol. I've read that Tai Floral is pricey. Do you know if there is another florist nearby that we could order from and pick up the flowers ourselves? Just thoughts...tell me what you think?
  4. Newbie...ROR Bride for June 23, 2012...EEK! I have been reading and searching all over this forum, but there doesn't seem to be much posted about the Private Beach Dinner/Reception they offer. Has anyone on here done it? Or know what is included in the $500 set up fee? Tables, chairs, linens? What kind of lighting? I love the idea of a beach dinner/small reception but I still want it to feel somewhat intimate. I found a pic of a spectacular beach dinner/reception at ROR, but it must have cost quite a bit, idk. But, I would love to be able to something similar, but on a more simple scale. Any ideas or information would be wonderful!
  5. Newbie. I've read many, many posts. But its hard to find the exact answers to everything. So much to do. Nervous. Help?! LOL! Oh...Getting married at ROR June 23, 2012 at 5pm, 20-30 guests... Have ya'll seen these pics from a ROR wedding and reception? I LOVE IT! I want it. Does anyone know what the cost to upgrade the dinner/reception to something like this would be?? I really like the brown chairs with the white sashes too...are these the "free" brown chairs or an upgrade? should we bring our own sash or does anyone know the cost to rent them? How long of a runner do I need? Is my 5pm ceremony going to get too dark for pics, or will I get great sunset pics? I haven't seen GREAT pics like these from THEIR photographer, but am I wrong and the final prints are beautiful??
