Sand Ceremony

I am advised you can do a sand ceremony..you just need to let the minister know.

 

I am wondering if anyone did this and if so how did the minister make out reading the sand ceremony words.

 

Also how did you transport the sand home...most of the containers do not appear to have lids on them. Was it all mixed when you got home? Did you bring the sand with you?

I did a sand ceremony. The judge read it. He did repeat the first section. But it was fine. I also corked my sand after i filled it to the top. Then I placed a plastic bag over the top and secured with a rubber band. I then put it in my upright carry on. Though word of the wise the sand does settle. B/c when I got home there was less sand at the top. Its fine b/c I'm just gonna get a little more sand to refill. But it still looks the same as the wedding day.

We also did the sand ceremony, rev. Sheldon did a great job reading it. We got our set on ebay and it didnt come with a lid so I just used saran wrap and rubberbands to keep it all together and put it in the carryon, on the way home it was fine.

you might also consider having a family member or someone from the wedding party read what the ceremony means.
