Groom's Suit...where did you buy it?

Recommended Posts

We haven't spent alot of time on this yet...but this weekend FI and I went to Macy's, Banana and Nordstrom Rack and there are like barely any light tan color suits!!! Banana Republic had one but it was like $370...which isn't bad...but I was hoping to find one on sale or cheaper...

I asked the same question a bit ago and was suggested to go to MensWarehouse. Not sure if you have one in the area. I also talked to someone at Banana Republic and they "thought" they would have a bit more variety for lighter tan suits in the next month. However, the price would probably be the same.

I know...we did the same thing last weekend. We kept getting the same reply...come back at the end of February. Our wedding will be over by then!! We settled for the Banana Republic suit. It wasn't quite the picture I had in my mind but I've to adjust. You might be able to wait a bit longer...I see you are getting married in May. I bet you just want to get it done though!

I'd check them out if you have a location near you.
This is who we used. They have a great online sales.. you can return items to the store to avoid shipping back.

I went to Men's Warehouse last weekend and the cream lightweight 100% silk suit was on sale. It was definitely under $300. But it looked bad on my FI, and we both decided he's going to go for linen instead. Unfortunately that means getting it made because he is 6'6" and there aren't many linen suits out there for men that tall. Hopefully we can find an inexpensive yet good tailor!
