Help With Destination Choice

Anyone have any suggestions for the best place to have a destination wedding? I am just starting to look.

Welcome to the forum, there are many choices, Cabo, Puerta Vallarta, Hawaii, Bahamas, it all depends on what you are looking for. I don't really think there is a "best place" you just have to find the "right place" for you. I agree with Shelly, what are you looking for? have you ever been somewhere and thought, i'd love to get married here? i've thought that about a few places, but we decided to go somewhere we've never been and be surprised!!

The best place to me is where I got married...lol

 

I'm not familiar with Canada, but if you are concerned about prices for you or your Candian guests, you may want to see what destinations have more reasonable flights.

 

If you have no specific place in mind I would list all of your wants then find a place that matches up to that.

 

Do you want to stay at an all-inclusive resort or does it not matter? (i.e. I think Hawaii has only one).

 

Geography - desert & beaches like Cabo, jungle and beaches like PV/RM

 

Culture/Attractions - do you want somewhere with cool landmarks/history like the Carribean or Mayan Riviera? Do you like to dive, hike, fish, etc.

I'm sure you will find all the info you need here, theres so many people willing to help and lend advice, its great!! What ideas do you have ? We were origionally going to marry in France but we've now booked for Dreams resort Cancun, (bit of a change hey ? LOL)

Here's what I do know!

 

We would like:

- an all inclusive resort

- not too expensive due to wanting our guests to be able to afford it!

- would like to get married on the beach/white sand

- willing to pay for wedding package

- would like different options for food

- would like the resort to have a couple bars/entertainment

I say Jamaica or Cuba (since you're Canadian and are allowed in). Somewhere Caribbean I think would match what you are looking for )
