Hi there! I am recently engaged and looking to get married in July 2008 in Los Cabos. I am in the process of emailing around to different venues--but do like Dreams (am waiting to hear back from them).

In the meantime, can anyone help with the following:

1) Venues, if I book 7 day stay a wedding package is included. I read that some of you are using ipods and paying for speaker rental. What about mariachi bands, reception etc? Is this all additional?

2) How long did it take for you to receive your marriage certificate?

3) I have read rave reviews about Wedding Planners from Fiesta Los Cabos. I have also sent them an email, but can anyone provide an estimate based on their experience of approx cost?

Yes, any live music is an additional cost... ceremony prices range from $300 for one hour to $550 for one hour, this was like guitar trio, mariachi, sax, guitar, flute, etc...

Bands for the reception ran anywhere from $800 per hour with minimum of 3 hours... to $1200 an hour min 3 hours. DJs seemed to be about $300 an hour min of 3 hours. Hope that helps. We went with a live band and the cost was $5,000 for 4 hour set, but we are huge music junkies-this was extremely important to us.
