Day-of wedding hair and mak-up person

Recommended Posts

For all of you girls who have gotten married already, do you recomend a day-of hair and make up person. I just asked Paulina from suzanne moral about this service and she quoted me $100/hr. I just don't want to look washed out w/ all the sweating and tears during my wedding. I also wanted to remove my veil after the ceremony and replace it w/ a flower. It is an added expense, so if it's not necessary, then all the better.

So I got an email from Elsa from Suzzane Morel (she's assisting Paulina).

Hello Leia,

I hope you are doing great. As I told you on Wednesday I am emailing you back regarding the extra time for your wedding Hair and make-up. I checked with Suzanne and it sounds like there was a misunderstanding. Usually for the extra-time we charge $100.00usd per hour + taxes + 15% gratuities for someone to stay with you. But in your case it would be $100.00usd (because of the other services you already asked for) plus the 10% taxes plus the 15% gratuities BUT it is a flat fee. That means for this amount the hairdresser/makeup artist will be staying with you until 7:00pm. It is not a charge per hour. I am sorry about the confusion. I will wait for your answer to add it to your services list. Please let me know if you need further information or if you have other questions I would gladly assist you. Thank you.

Have a great week end!

I think I'm going to do it. I have a feeling a few tears are going to be shed and with my wedding being in Oct...God only knows how sweaty I'll be!

One of my BMs used to work at Nordie's doing makeup so I had her do it. We kept it very simple because I don't typically wear make-up and wanted to look like myself. If it weren't for her I may have looked into hiring someone because I am so clueless on make-up! If it will ease your mind and the budget allows I say go for it!

Thanks for the reminder about extending the dinner choices. I would have totally forgotten about it.
