Has anyone used either of these photogs?

Recommended Posts

I've heard of both of those studios and I actually talked to Michael Maurus' wife (who works with Michael) when I was deciding who to pick. I'm afraid I can't remember the reason why I chose to forgo those photographers. (Petra Maurus was extremely nice and responsive). I think it was because I was able to go w/ Claudia Rodriguez for a price that worked in our budget and she had more positive reviews than did either of those studios. But if you do go w/ them, then maybe they will get more press on here.

I'm using cancun studios for my EDR wedding in May..... I saw Anny's photos and they were really beautiful-- cancun studios just fits our budget! :)- Also, EDR has a completely retarded $500 outside photographer fee (sure you've seen threads about this on the forum). Cancun Studios is paying half the fee (ie they deducted $250 from my package) -and they told me to feel free to tell other potential brides... They have been very responsive so far--- guess I can't say more until May :)

Maybe I am confused, I am trying to stay budget friendly as well, but those familiar with Cancun Studios packages may be able to help me out. The number 2 package is $1950.00 for only 200 images, is that correct? With Cancun Wedding Photography I can 600 photos for $1650 plus 6 hours instead of 5 hours, I wonder why their packages are cheaper?

every wedding photographer bases their pricing on what they think their time and photos are worth, what the market will bare, and supply and demand. There isn't any standard. There are also many other things that are factored into price such as cost of business, cost of living, etc. etc.

It really comes down to who's photos you like better and the personality of the photographer you choose. It really helps to have a photographer who you get along with and who's style you like.

If photographer A is more expensive than photographer B, but you like photographer A's work better, if you can stretch your budget a little, it might be worth it. It all depends on what you are looking for in the end and how important photos are. If the photos aren't all that important to you, cheaper might be better.
