So now Im having a shower and people wont leave me alone with "Where are you registered at?" And when I say a charity they give me a crazy look and say, "Thats no fun" or "you do that when people die" OMG - You cant win for losing!

You are so right you can't win. If they don't want to do the charitable donations I would just tell them you aren't registered because you aren't in need of anything. If they don't get the hint to either donate or send a monitary gift than god help us all. We will never master the make everyone happy thing. I wish you the best. It will all work itself out and you will have them day you always dreamed of.
