wedding day gifts for each other

FI doesn't wear watches and when I mentioned BD pic's he thought they were sort of wierd.

 

So I bought him a painting. I got the idea because my aunt had given my parents a beautiful sculpture for their wedding almost 35 years ago and it is still prominently displayed in their home.

 

He told me last night that he just picked up my gift. Apparently he had an idea for it for a while but then saw something else when he was getting it. So he hinted that there might be two gifts. I have no idea what it/they is/are going to be. Sometimes he hits 'em out of the park, other times he strikes out. I hope it's good

Mike & I planned on not getting each other anything because holidays, birthdays, etc are always a pain because he's so hard to shop for (because anything he wants, he buys...so annoying!). I decided to get BD pics anyway, just because I know how shocked he will be because it's so unlike me.

When most of my friends have gotten married, their hubbies have bought them jewelry to wear on their wedding day.

Hm this is hard. I love the sexy photo idea, but I always worry about sexy pix of me getting out to the public eye or something. Not like I'll ever be a movie star that it would even matter but you know what I mean, lolol.

 

Hey get him another bulldog.. blahaha SYKE he'd freak. Ok so anyway, I'd go with something sentimental. Is there anything that you guys share as a special memory that you can incorporate into a gift? He's pretty sentimental so I think he would like that. And you're so creative, you can def think of something or even MAKE him a gift, pottery or something. ??

Thanks for the vote of confidence, Jac! I love being called creative even though mostly everything I do is not an original idea :-P.

 

I just think the BD photos would totally shock him and he would never get over that i did that, so that is standing out to me as the best present I could give him. But could I actually do it?? I reallllly don't know. Let's see how WW works for me and then we'll see. Plus, I am kinda broke with all the money I been spending, nt sure if I could afford these photos....

My husband loves wine, so I got him a nice wine caraffe, two wine glasses, and two wine stoppers with shells on the top.

 

As for me, Timm bought a brass compass set in a wooden box (think the compass in Pirates of the Caribbean, only it does point North), and had the words "I Will Follow" engraved on a small plate on the top of the box. I absolutely love it.

I asked for a pinball game, honestly, I love pinball and there is an old pizza shop with The Who's Tommy. We had talked about buying ourselves an air hockey table for our future house but then the owner of the pizza shop got ahold of me and said the machine was FINALLY for sale. I may have mentioned a few times how much I liked it
