Hello everyone...newbie here! I wish I had known about this site a year ago! I'm getting married at Las Caletas on February 20 and we're SO excited, but it's coming SO fast!cheer2.gif

I've been looking at the Caletas brides forum and I'm so happy to see all of the positive reviews. Nicole has been a godsend!smile36.gif

Can anyone previous Caletas brides offer advice on the stair situation. My dad has a bit of a mobility problem and I'm thinking they might be too much for him to navigate...

welcome to the forum! I was married in June of 07 at Caletas ... it was amazing! if you're interested, check out my review and pics in the links below.

as for the stairs - there are stairs up and down from the dining area to the beach, do you think he'll have a problem with them? have you been to Caletas yet?

just wondering if you are thinking he won't be able to make the stairs at all, or if the constant up and down will be a problem. hopefully he doesn't need to go up and down, and someone can fetch drinks for him!

also, i think the bathrooms require some stair use - unless he just wants to use the ocean! (i didn't say that, really).

Welcome, I also married there this past June.

The stairs really aren't that big of a deal. We had an older guest with really bad knees and she was fine. She took longer than others to get from the boat to the beach, and up the stairs the one time she used the bathroom, but it was not a problem. The staff is also very accomodating so I'm sure he'll be fine.

BTW from the boat to the wedding site there aren't really stairs so much as a hilly cobblestone path. There are a fair amount of stairs to get to the bathroom but nothing overwhelming. Hope this helps :o)
