Welcome letter idea??

I am doing my welcome letter on Vistaprint.com

 

On the cover a welcome from the families.

 

On the inside a timeline and some activity information.

 

On the back a list of guests names "James & Erika Hatcher", etc. with the header that says "Contact Info" where people can write down everyone's room numbers in case they want to call.

 

I haven't figured out anything else to put in it, but sometimes you can catch a freebie newsletter on vistaprint or you can use a coupon code for a discount.

I'm doing a pre-travel letter/packet thing., Hopefully I'll have luggage tags to inclue in the envelope.

 

I plan to include a things to pack list, what to expect at the airport, brief history of Jamaica, spa & excursion menu, etc.

 

For the resort I'm going to do a thank you letter, our itenerary, big day time line, photoshare page, and guest contact page where they can write the numbers of the other guests.

 

I'll post the first draft next week.

i hadn't thought of doing a booklet. I was leaning towards a pamphlet too...but am finding that i have a LOT of stuff to say! lol. So, maybe a booklet is the way to go! Thanks for the suggestion!

Is it worth the hassle of including photos of everyone with a discription? Did the guests complain about not liking their photo or the information included? I'm wondering if people really found it beneficial or if it was more of a headache at the end of it.

I ended up just doing a simple letter on microsoft word - I added some flip-flop/starfish borders to it so it looked a little nicer but it worked perfect, wasn't too fancy and got the job done - and it was super easy!
