Haha, I overloaded on Tripadviser when I started planning too! In the end, I just had to choose a location and stop reading the reviews (at least temporarily). I chose Cabo for the weather and the beautiful scenery. Just as the others said, there are a few swimmable beaches in Cabo. Good luck planning!

P.S. I live in Chicago too.

welcome to the forum! There are places to swim in Cabo. I know you could at the Sheraton. I think the ocean is just a little more rough in Cabo than in other places.

 

There have been many Costa Rica brides here too so I'm sure there will be some good info for you.
