Are you going to (did you) sell your dress after the wedding?

Definitely not. I will prefer to keep such a lovely memento of my wedding for ever as i am habitual to do so.But, i believe money is not everything.One must keep such priceless belongings within.Money is spent later..memories stay together.

Not at all, how can someone do that? wedding dresses are precious one and contain lot of memories with that day.If someone convert it accordingly to the today's fashion then it's great rather than selling it.

For that same reason I don't know if I could sell mine but I know some people spend a lot of money on their dress and it's a way of getting back some of it. Plus, it helps out other brides who want designer dresses but can't afford the full price. I see both sides but I just don't know if I can part with mine . 

 

Funny story, my mom kept her first communion dress and I wore it when I took my first communion. It is just such a simple and classic dress that never went out of style. I still love it to this day. Sadly her wedding dress was very 80s hahah so I couldn't wear that one

I haven't bought mine yet but I can't imagine selling it! I want to keep the memories and even though I know my future daughter won't want to wear it I still wouldn't want to part with it!

I bought two dresses one for the reception and one for the ceremony...The two of them together cost me less than $500 with taxes and alteration in so I probably wont sell them.

 

However there is a great Charity call the "Brides Project" here in Toronto just down the street from me. They take used /new donated / discontinued wedding dresses and wedding accessory items to sell them at a low price for brides on a very small budget, 100% of the profits go to Cancer charities.

I vote yest on this one too. My mom saved her dress in one of those preserved boxes and the box has never been opened.  The box just hangs out in her closet taking up space (40 years into her marriage) :-)  In some ways, thats cute and sentimental,  but I dont think its really necesary.

I also keep going back and forth. Agreed, why not make some money back... but I kind of want to see if it fits when im 50 and my adaughter is getting married... lord knows SHE wont want it!
