smile159.gif Hi all, my names Elliot !!!

Kelly and myself want to get married in mid 2008 looking into locations at the moment and so far it looks like Mexico - can anyone point us to the best resorts.

Thanks

Thanks guys for the warm welcome!!!

Anyone know what the RUI Palca Mexico is like ? On top of the list was the Aventura Spa Palace resort but as its not on the beach this is putting us off a bit (ideally we would love to get married on a private beach, around 16-20 in our party - so really just looking for recommendations.)

There is so much choice in Mexico i didn't think it would be this difficult in choosing a destination!

Oh boy, there are so many resorts in so many areas. Have you narrowed down what parts of Mexico you are looking in to? I'm a moderator for the Riviera Maya/Cancun/Play Del Carmen area so I'll give you some good starting points for that area, but there is also a lot of brides that are planning Cabo weddings and a few that are planning PV weddings who will be sure to help you once they have read your post. I noticed you are from the UK so maybe staying on the east coast of Mexico might be your plan.

This is a link to a thread called "where and why did you choose your resort" A lot of us brides have posted why "our" resort is the one we choose. Could be helpfull to you.

Here are some popular resorts that have good reviews and recomendations in regards to weddings!

Moon Palace resort (all inclusive, adults only, good for weddings with less than 40 guests)

Dreams Tulum (all inclusive)

Dreams Cancun (all inclusive)

El Dorado Royale (all inclusive, adults only)

Royal Porto Real (all inclusive)

Ok here is a good start anyways. There are really so many to choose from in this area. almost all these links will also give you a link to the resorts websited directly. Good luck!

If you post some specifics about your wedding it might help us help you better.

About how many guests?

Children attending or Adults only?

And what area of Mexico?

Good luck and Welcome

I am getting married in Puerto Vallarta, and am in the middle of searching for a specific resort myself. I'd suggest doing a little research on the different areas of Mexico (Puerto Vallarta, Cabo, Riviera Maya, etc.) to see what makes them all different. Once you find one that suites you, then see what hotels/resorts are in that area.

Are you looking for a large resort wedding on a beach or indoors? A private beach wedding? A cruise wedding? Not to make your head spin - but there are so many options!

Hi guys:
We love the look of Aventura Spa Palace but the fact that there isn't a beach is putting us of a bit - ideally we would lve to get married on a private beach - any suggestions?

Also another place we are considering is the RIU Palace Mexico - heard anything about this one anyone - can you get married on the beach here?

Just Adults
Around 16 - 20 people hopefully - (its a bit of a long way from London!)

Thanks E+K

Have you considered Cabo San Lucas? If you rent a villa they are all pretty much located on a private beach called Pedregal. For the longest time we had planned on getting married their and it's a very pretty beach. There are a couple of brides on this forum that got married there and posted some pictures.

My fiance and I wanted the same thing, we wanted a private beach. I am getting married at Las Caletas, it's about 45 min. south of Puerto Vallarta (where we'll be staying). You take a boat from the marina (picture a "booze cruise" type of boat), have your ceremony and reception on a PRIVATE beach/cove area. Then the boat takes you back to Puerto Vallarta. Here is the website - Puerto Vallarta Wedding Planner for Mexico Destination Weddings They have 2 packages, intimate and deluxe, we're doing the deluxe - I think that's the only way you guarentee it's a private event. They provide drinks, dinner, a bonfire, etc. - and they really seem to cater to what you want to do. Nicole, the wedding coordinator there, has been GREAT so far. Just an idea!
