Honeymoon Registry (Honeymoon Wishes)

Recommended Posts

I am new to this concept. Can someone explain these websites a little more?

If we have things to do or special gifts at the hotel etc on the registry, does it actomatically buy that or is it a pool of money that you get and can use it for that "gift" that someone choose to buy for you or anything else you wantt??

I've researched the different honeymoon registries quite thoroughly and I'd love to save a fellow bride some time! ;)

www.honeymoonwishes.com and www.honeyluna.com are the best ones I found. Honey Luna has travel experts to help you plan your travel. Your site is free if you go through them. Either site is easy to use, allows you to take out money as frequently as you wish and you can share details, photos and more with your guest list.

If you use one of the "partner" registries you can have the gift of massage, upgrade, etc. go directly to the hotel. It's really up to you! Honeymoon Wishes and Honey Luna offer the most flexibility and professional service.

I'd steer clear of Honey Fund. It's really more of an IOU than anything. Plus, they sell ad space on your webpage, etc! Yuck!

Honeyfund doesn't charge a percentage but their templates don't really include photos unless you pay the $29 for the premier membership. Also, they post ads all over your registry page! :( They also don't have a phone number for customer service or taking orders. They are strictly online. If your friends/family don't want to pay online you have to collect the check from them like an IOU! I definitely recommend Honeymoon Wishes instead...

I just registered yesterday for our Honeymoon Wishes account. I am really excited about this! We already have more than enough stuff for our house so I thought this would be a much better way for people to get us something we could actually use! I was afraid of peoples reaction to this unconventional registry but so good so far!!

Yes, these websites don't actually "purchase" the gifts your guests buy for you...they actual just total up the amount bought and send you the money for what your guest spent. It is up to you where you actually spend the money. Although I recommend choosing a website that keeps track of what people actually bought you so you can give them an appropriate thank you for the "sunset dinner" :)
