Shipping internationally is OUTRAGEOUS!

Well hello ladies, I have been MIA lately, but this planning a DW is stressful!!! Just thought I would let you know that I shipped about four boxes of oot bag stuff to my wedding planner Angela in St, Thomas....Wanna know how much is cost me?? $430.00....I was stunned! I have never shipped internationally before and that threw me for a BIG loop!!!! Just though I would warn anyone wanting to do this! My FH told me that was the last thing I was doing for the wedding....The shipping came right after my $350.00 trip to walmart to buy the items for the oot bags! lol!!! Wish me luck ladies I keave Tuesday!!!! muah! Hope everyone had a Happy Holiday!

Well think of it this way...if you had brought it with you, and your luggage was overweight...you probably would have had to pay just as much and it would have been more of a hassle

We looked into shipping to Jamaica and were floored by the prices! At least you won't have to deal with carrying everything Congrats - you must be so excited!!!

yeah, it's crappy how expensive it is. i shipped some stuff to saint thomas last year, it wasn't that much. was your stuff really heavy? Shipping to saint thomas isn't international shipping. You can send through USPS for cheap. It's UPS and FedEx that charge international fees.

I have yet to determine what to do about OOT bags...but one thing for others to consider is shipping with a large company if you have access? For example, my company is huge and has great negotiated rates with UPS. If I were to ship my stuff I would use their rates before going to a stand alone mail place (or the post office!). Prices can be twice as expensive.
