Hi everyone!

I just wanted to introduce myself really quick. My name is Heather Blackwood and I am getting married Oct. 6, 2007 in Playa Del Carman at the Playacar Palace. I am very excited and I look forward to learning and sharing with all of you!

Hi Heather, welcome and congrats... The Palace resorts have such great reviews in regards to their wedding and their resort wedding staff. I'm sure everything will go just perfect. If you need anything at all this forum is the place to go. Ask away...everyone is really helpfull around here.

Playacar Palace doesn't allow big weddings so it's going to be small...35 people...I am having a hard time picking flowers and colors right now. My dress is from Casablanca and it's ivory with a blush sash. As soon as I figure out how to post a picture I will. Any suggestions on colors? Has anyone been married at Playacar Palace?

If you go in the search bar at the top of the page and type in colors you will find a thread dedicated and full of all of our ideas.

PDC's water is known for its buetifull aqua/blue color. I think picking a color that really pops in combination with the aqua/blue would look great.

Karla was just married (search her name and you will find a thread with her wedding photos) in Cabo mexico. Her colors were something I would never be able to think up on my own and they looked stunning.

I'm not sure that there are any other playacar palace brides hear but definitly plenty of PDC brides. Dont feel bad though I'm the only bride getting married at the Occidental Grand Xcaret in PDC and I still find tons of helpfull info. wink.gif

Have you ever been to PDC before?

My boss has been a few times and he said I couldnt have picked a better spot. He has also been to Cozumel and didnt think it was 1/2 as nice as PDC.

Top things on his list to do while their were 1. Xcaret Ecological Park and 2. The Myan ruins which he said was an experience he will never forget.

Hope this helped a little.
