Yes, I got all this info from Grisel via email. It took her about a week or so to respond to my inquiries, but I find that most DW coordinators take about that long. I usually find it easier to compile a list of questions in 1 email and then send it, I get more complete answers that way.

Here are a few questions I have asked Grisel concerning weddings at Dreams: (her answers are below in blue)

Are the speakers you have available to be hooked up to an mp3 player/I-pod?

I am not sure they can be hooked up to an MP3, but they might. Please bring your selection on a CD as a back up.

Does the resort offer a horse and carriage for the ceremony?

No.

Are the wedding packages customazible? For instance, in the Ultimate package, if I did not need the makeup services, can I substitue that for something?

No. If you know you are not using something from the package, I recommend you to have the Wedding in paradise (included) and then add the things you will use.

What are the wedding cake options as far as flavors? Any pictures?

The flavors are: chocolate, vanilla, strawberry and almond.

How long do you allow for the wedding receptions? If the wedding is at 8, what time would the reception be?

Until 10:30 PM

Hope this info helps! pinkie.gif

Hi! I stayed at this resort when it was Sunscape the Beach and loved it! I did see a few weddings while I was there and remember a couple of things...

one of the weddings had a dinner reception in the mexican restaurant and I could hear all of the toasts and everything from my dinner table...if you wan't any privacy I'm not sure if I would do it there...Hitmitsu has very good food and so does Dreams (which may be called something else now since the whole resort is Dreams)...the gazebo is right in front of the lobby and is not near the ocean or the pools (but it is really beautiful)...the terrace outiside of Hitmitsu is gorgeous and has a great view (I think it's the picture above called reception options...There was another reception that I saw when I looked down from the Hitmitsu terrace that was private and looked very pretty but I dont know what the location is called.

Hopefully some of that info was helpful...let me know if you have any questions! Good luck with your planning!

I am getting married at dreams may 2008 and I sent some questions to Grisele she usually takes a week to get back to you. As soon as the answers come back I will post them. I think it took about a week for me to get my wedding conformation because she has to check your date with the judge. Happy Planning. Also in other reviews I have herd that she is amazing and so helpful when you get to the resort!

  • 1 month later...

Hi ladies, I too willbe getting married there on April 19th 08. I have been working with Juliana and she has been great and also takes about a week to respond to emails. As on eof the ladies posted, the receptions are all until 1030 so my suggestion would be to start it earlier than 8 pm. For example, my reception will be from 6 or 630 until 1030.That way I have more time for a reception. feel free to ask any questions and I'll try my best to answer them. You can also email me at [email protected] happy planning ladies.
