Playa del Carmen, December 2008

Hello!

Just a newbie on this site. We have decided to get married at The Royal in Playa del Carmen in December 2008. We have not set an exact date yet, but we are hoping for early in the month. Any comments would be great!!

Have you been there yet? I just love it - the rooms are amazing, decor is beautiful and downtown is literally right outside the front entrance.

 

Your guests are going to love their stay there!

ooohhh one of my favorites also!

 

I'd probably do a group with this one as opposed to booking individual reservations because the property is small to mid sized and gets booked rather quickly.Word is getting out about how nice it is!

We are lucky as we stayed at this resort in April 2005 (it wasn't officially open yet). It is why we picked it. We are little nervous about getting all the details on a Destination wedding!! Thanks to all for your comments!!

The Royal is a beautiful site to do a wedding and it is in a great location being so close to 5th avenue. Just keep in mind when you book a December wedding to get ahead on making reservations at any off-site restaurants as high season takes off in December and reservations at top locations fill up fast. Yes, great venue. It's the only All Inclusive right in the middle of Playa del Carmen. I've shot several videos there and have always been impressed. The reception's on the beach are really well done. I've always worked with Mannia Sound and Lights for those and they do a great job. Here are some video clips from that venue:
