Xcaret for wedding/Reception, Guest staying Occidental Grand

I am getting married Feb 9, 2008..... yikes..... and we are having the wedding at the Chapel at the Eco park Xcaret and the reception at La Isla there too. We are having our guests stay at the Occidental Grand because it is walking distance.. we have been to neither. PLEASE, has anyone had a wedding/reception at the park and or had a wedding with guest stay at the Occidental. How was the resort without being "on the ocean", but only having a man made lagoon? How were rooms, pools, etc. ANY help would be amazing, THANKS A MILLION!!!

Hi there... I have not been to a wedding at the park, but have been to the chapel there and it is absolutely beautiful!!! Congratulations!

 

I did stay at the Occidental and had a wonderful time. The rooms are nice, the service is great, the food is good... the beach is small but we truly enjoyed ourselves... and if your guests are looking for a big beach Playa del Carmen is very close. You'll have a great time!!!
