card box???

hi girls...with everyone paying to come to our wedding i feel funny putting out a box for cards but i think we should because what if people do this is such a touchy subject what did you all do

We scrambled last minute (at the reception) to find a basket because so many people were handing us cards or asking where they should put them. My mom kept the basket by her but it probably wasn't the safest thing..

 

What if you have a person (like a family member or MOH) to direct people to. She/he could always have a satin pouch or something like that.. little more discrete than the mailbox card holder at some weddings. (no offense, but you wouldn't be able to bring/bring back something large)

We aren't doing this. But, with as much as this is costing our guests, I am not expecting anything....I really don't want anything. Heck, I don't even want to register anywhere.

 

They could always just hand you the card?

I was wondering the same thing. I've asked my family to try to let people know that we don't expect gifts because it's a DW; but I'm sure some will bring them anyway. I like Angela's suggestion of a pouch (easier to carry and more discreet). A card box may be too large to transport.

i agree i thought if i posted we all could get ideas i agree i dont want my guests to do this but i know some may and i dont want to worry so maybe giving someone you trust with it would be great...
